인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술지도 방안

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술지도 교수·학습 모형을 개발하고, 실제 수업 현장에 적용하여, 그 효과를 다각도로 검증해 봄으로써 사회구성주의 쓰기 이론의 본질을 살릴 수 있는 창의적인 논술 지도 방안을 제안하는 데 있다. 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술지도는 인터넷을 통한 온라인상에서 학생 소집단 간에 또는 학생-교사 간에 협의하기를 함으로써 서로 상호작용을 하면서 문제를 해결해 가는 의미 있는 과정이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같이 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술 지도의 효과적인 교수·학습 방법에는 어떠한 것이 있는가? 둘째, 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술 지도 프로그램은 학생들의 논술 쓰기 능력에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는가? 셋째, 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술 지도 프로그램은 학생들의 논술 쓰기 태도에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는가? 이와 같은 연구 문제에 기초하여 본 연구는 서울시 은평구 소재 고등학교 2학년 두 개 반을 대상으로 실험 집단과 통제 집단을 한 반씩 선정하였다. 실험집단은 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 지도 프로그램을 4주에 걸쳐 총 11차시를 지도하였고 통제집단은 동일한 쓰기 과제로 쓰기 수업을 진행했으며, 인터넷을 통한 협의 프로그램을 제외한 나머지 과정에 따라 지도하였다. 처음 1, 2차시는 논술쓰기 능력 및 태도에 관한 사전검사를 실시한 후, 실험 집단에서는 총 3회 6차시의 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 쓰기를 실시하였다. 통제집단에서는 전통적인 방법에 의한 논술문 쓰기가 이루어졌다. 실험 처치가 끝난 후 논술쓰기 능력 및 태도에 관한 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 그리고 실험반에만 프로그램에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술지도 방안의 효과를 검증하기 위해 본 연구는 사전 검사 결과를 공변인으로 하는 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 유의수준 .05에서 실시하여 집단 간 차이를 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 연구 문제에 대한 결론을 내리면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 학습을 한 학생들은 전통적인 방법에 의해 논술 학습을 한 학생들에 비해 쓰기 능력에서 유의미한 향상을 보여 주었다. 실험 집단의 이러한 결과는 내용, 논리, 표현면의 모든 영역에서 의미 있는 향상을 보여주어, 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 교수?학습 방법이 학생의 논술 능력 향상에 효과적이라는 것이 충분히 검증되었다. 둘째, 논술 쓰기 태도 검사를 통하여 실험 집단이 통제 집단에 비하여 글쓰기에 대한 태도가 긍정적으로 변화했음을 확인할 수 있었다. 설문내용은 읽기, 쓰기, 논술에 대한 태도를 묻는 내용으로 나누어 그 효과를 검증하였는데 모든 부분에서 긍정적인 변화를 보이고 있다. 특히 논술에 익숙해지는 태도를 보이며 흥미도의 향상을 보였다. 이는 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 학습을 한 학생들이 논술 쓰기에 대한 자신감을 가지게 되었으며, 좀 더 나은 글을 쓰려고 노력하는 자세를 지니게 되었음을 의미한다. 셋째, 인터넷을 통한 협의 중심 논술 지도 프로그램에 관한 만족도 검사에서도 유의미한 결과를 보여 프로그램이 학생들의 논술 수업을 위해 효율적이었음을 보여주었다. 설문내용은 프로그램의 적절성, 운영도, 효용성으로 나누어 그 효과를 검증하였는데 모든 부분에서 긍정적인 변화를 보이고 있다. 특히 학생들의 적극적인 참여 의욕을 고취하였으며, 학습자 중심의 활동을 이끌어 내는 데에 효과적이었다. 또한 이 프로그램을 통해 자신감이 향상되어 사고력과 논리력 향상에도 효과적이었다는 결과가 나왔다. 이상의 결과를 살펴볼 때 인터넷을 통한 협의중심 논술 지도 프로그램은 논술쓰기 및 태도에 있어서 전반적으로 긍정적인 효과를 나타내었다. 그러나 효과가 미진한 부분을 보완할 수 있는 전략 모색 및 구체적이고 단계적인 논술 쓰기 프로그램 개발에 대한 후속 연구가 요구된다.;The objective of this study is to develop creative a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet. Conferences using the internet in writing process have been proposed as a method for teaching writing as current trends increasingly emphasize communication among students and student-teachers. It is a very meaningful process to solving problems in writing essays. In this study, a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet are developed to investigate whether a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet has any effect on writing ability and attitudes toward writing. The following research questions are developed to investigate whether a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet has any effect on writing ability and attitudes toward writing. 1. What kinds of effective teaching-learning methods of essay writing based on conferences using the internet can I think out? 2. Is the program of teaching essay writing based on conference using the internet effective on ability of essay writing? 3. Is the program of teaching essay writing based on conference using the internet effective on attitudes to essay writing? Two eleventh grade classes were chosen as the subjects for this study; one for the experimental group and the other for the control group. Following a pre-test to assess writing ability and attitudes toward writing for the two groups, the controlled group received lessons in following traditional approach while the experimental writing process over 6 lessons. Afterwards, a post-test was conducted to assess writing ability and attitudes toward writing. The results on the writing attitudes are as below. First, a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet had positive effects on abundant contents, logical thinking ability, power of expression. Second, a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet was greatly effective for the emotional reaction toward writing. There was a positive effect for the attitudes toward writing process, and its subordinate evaluating factors such as the attitudes toward content development, expression and editing. Considering the mentioned results, a teaching-learning method of essay writing based on conferences using the internet was generally effective for the writing ability and attitudes toward writing. But following researches are also needed to improve the strategies that can make up for ineffective parts of this study.
