造形藝術로서의 刺繡美術의 現代化

Abstract

Nowadays, in developing human life, Art delivers what it is to human as a part of social function. In according to this, Embroidery Art as a part of plastic arts becomes to need a new theory of expression from modern theory - to use, to see. So this study pursues the possibility of pure arts, set up its purpose of developing its real artistic field to expressive art, the performs its practical working on the basis of theoretical study for realizing the Modernization of Embroidery Art. For this, it is tobe the first subject of Embroidery to study the art and develop it toward Modernization, and then establish new value conception suitable to the sense of the time. To advance toward Expressing Art from present idea on Embroidery, it is necessary to reappraise the present form of expression and its material and technique and to make a bold and unrestricted trial, while not being fettered by material and technique, from the customary category. Therefore, with the find of new materials for such comprehensive creations the modernized realm of expression of Embroidery Art can be expanded. This study, for the groping of a short cut to the modernization of Embroidery Art, finds a basis of modernization and establishes new conception by examining the modeling of modern Embroidery Art, and pursues to be helpful to the magnification of the realm of expressions and the development of material by analysing the form and matter of modern Embroidery work, materials on the formation, and the means of expression. On the basis of this theoretical study, its practical work with nature as a matter expressed essential and infinite inner world which outer world and nature of actual natural phenomena involves, and then tried to build new realm of expression of Embroidery Art and reached such a conclusion: It is ascertained that Embroidery Art is also included in the realm of the plastic arts pursuing purity, and the modernization of formation can be possible by trying a free expression according to the artist's inner intention as not being fettered by materials. And by magnifying the realm of expression, it is possible for artists to express inner intentions more beautifully.;오늘날 인간의 생활이 향상 발전함에 따라 美術은 人間에게 무엇인가를 전하는 社會的 技能으로서의 역할을 담당하게 되었다. 이에 造形藝術의 한 分野인 剌繡美術도 '使用하는 것' '시각적인 것'의 종래의 槪念에서 '表現하는 것'의 새로운 槪念의 定立이 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 本 硏究에서는 剌繡美術의 純粹性을 추구하여 現代美術과 발 맞추어 表現藝術로 발전시키는데에 그 目的을 두고 그에 따른 理論的인 硏究를 바탕으로 실제적인 作品 製作을 함으로써 剌繡美術의 現代化를 具現해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 剌繡에 있어서 그 美術性을 考察하여 現代化시킬 수 있는 方向으로 展開하여 時代的 感覺에 맞는 새로운 價値槪念을 定立함이 우선 첫째 問題라 하겠다. 그리고 剌繡에 대한 旣存의 觀念으로부터 表現하는 藝術로 발돋움하기 위하여 지금까지의 表現樣式과 그에 따르는 材料와 技法에 대한 再認識과 더불어 종래의 技法에서 벗어나 材料와 技法에 얽매이지 않는 대담하고 자유로운 시도가 필요하다. 그러므로 이러한 폭 넓은 創作을 위한 새로운 素材와 材料의 發掘, 時代 感覺에 따른 表現樣式의 變化로써 剌繡美術에 있어서 그 現代化된 表現世界를 펼칠 수 있겠다. 本 硏究에서는 剌繡美術의 現代化를 위한 지름길을 모색하고자, 近代의 剌繡美術의 造形性을 살펴 現代化시킬 소지를 발견, 새로운 價値觀을 定立하며, 또한 現代의 剌繡作品이 갖는 內容과 形式, 그리고 作品 形成에서의 材料와 그 밖의 表現 手段을 分析하여 剌繡美術에서 앞으로의 表現 領域의 확대와 材料, 素材의 開發에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 이러한 理論的 硏究를 기반으로 한 실제적인 作品製作에 있어서는, 自然을 素材로 하여 事實的인 自然 現象의 外的인 世界와 自然이 내포하고 있는 本質的이고 無限한 內的인 世界를 表現해 봄으로써 剌繡美術의 새로운 表現世界를 이룩해 보려고 하였으며 다음과 같은 結論을 얻을 수 있었다. 剌繡美術도 純粹性을 추구하는 造形藝術 領域의 범주안에 있음을 확인하게 되었으며, 作家의 內的인 意圖에 따라 材料와 技法에 얽매이지 않고 自由로운 表現을 펼침으로써 造形性의 現代化가 가능하다. 또한 그 表現 領域을 확대시킴으로써 作家의 內的 心象의 美的인 表現이 가능하다.
