제7차 고등학교 음악교과서의 서양 음악 용어 표기에 관한 연구

Abstract

In this study, it is the purpose that is to settle theconfusion of markingofwesternmusicaltermsinaccordancewithpresentresearch aboutmarkingforwesternmusicaltermsofthe7threvisedcurriculum for the high school music textbooks. In this study, It is defined about musical terms and the general functions of those terms and educational significance, thehistoriesof musiceducationprocessandrelationshipbetweeneducationalcurriculum by the history of musical terms and musical terms. It is conducted the specific method for analysis of research data as below. At first, it is classified musical terms found from high school textbooks into 16 items. It is defined classified data by the forms of musical terms as listed. 1.Terms transliterated meaning of musical terms of original language into Korean. 2.Terms translated into Korean to be expressed in the same language. 3. Terms formed a mark or a number from the original meaning. 4, Terms in original forms. 5. Terms omitted original forms. 6.Terms transliterated into Korean. At third, gathered statistics on the forms of terms and the using status of terms per each textbooks according to the research data. The result of this study is followed; 1.The most frequently used terms were the terms for 'expression' and 'tempo' at the textbooks. 2. The terms for 'keys', 'decoration' ,'cadence', 'harmony', 'the organizedelement and form of musical piece'were the terms translated the meaning of original language into Korean. 3. The terms for 'the kinds and form of instrumental music', 'theplayingstyleofvocalandinstrumentalmusic',and'theperiodofmusicalhistory'werethetermstranslatedintoKoreanthebeexpressedinthesame language. 4.Thetermsforaccidentals,meter,changeofrhythmandarticulation were the terms formed a mark or anumber from the original meaning. 5. The terms for the 'tempo' and 'expression of composition' werethe terms in original forms. 6. Theterms for dynamicswere the terms omittedoriginal forms. 7. Theterms for'dance music'and 'the kinds and forms of vocal' were the terms transliterated into Korean. Thus, It was found some problemson using musical terms from study result as following. Therewerethelinguisticmisapprehensionin translation process, the different conception or frequencies of the use of term, and the errors which are spelt differently for same meaning before the unification. To improve this situation, it is required to inspect the existing musicalterms with scientificresearch beforehand andto succeed in abstract basic foundationand practical working to create correct musicalterms.Itishopedthatthisstudycanbecontributedto motivatefollowingresearch and regarded as a trial for re-organization of musical terms.;이 연구에서는 제7차 교육 과정에 의한 고등학교 음악교과서의 서양 음악 용어 표기에 관한 실태 조사를 통해 서양 음악 용어 표기의 혼란성을 해소하는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 음악 용어의 정의와 음악 용어의 교육적 의의를 살펴보고 음악 용어의 역사적 고찰과 음악과 교육 과정에 나타난 음악 용어 변천을 통해 음악 용어와 교육 과정과의 관계에 대해 연구하였다. 그리고 연구 자료의 분석을 위해 다음과 같은 방법으로 실시하였다. 우선 고등학교 교과서에 나타난 음악 용어를 16개 항목으로 분류하여 정리하였다. 둘째로 분류된 자료를 토대로 원어의 의미를 한글로 번역한 용어, 원어의 의미를 한문이나 한자어인 한글로 번역한 용어, 원어의 의미를 기호나 숫자로 나타낸 용어, 원어를 그대로 표기한 용어, 원어를 생략한 용어, 원어의 발음을 한글로 표기한 용어 순으로 분류하였다. 마지막으로 분석한 자료를 토대로 분류 항목별 용어의 유형과 교과서별 용어 사용 현황을 통계 처리하였다. 이 연구의 결과에 의해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻게 되었다. 1. 교과서에 제시된 음악 용어 중에는 빠르기에 관한 용어와 악상 표현에 관한 용어를 가장 많이 사용하였다. 2. 조에 관한 용어, 꾸밈음에 관한 용어, 마침법에 관한 용어, 악곡의 구성요소와 형식에 관한 용어, 화성에 관한 용어 등은 대부분 원어의 의미를 한글로 표기한 용어였다. 3. 기악곡의 종류와 형태에 관한 용어, 성악·기악곡의 연주형태에 관한 용어, 음악사적 구분에 의한 용어는 대부분 원어의 의미를 한문이나 한자어인 한글로 번역한 용어였다. 4. 변화표에 관한 용어, 박자에 관한 용어, 음 길이의 변화와 연주지시에 관한 용어는 대부분 원어의 의미를 기호나 숫자로 표기한 용어였다. 5. 빠르기에 관한 용어, 악상 표현에 관한 용어는 대부분 원어를 그대로 사용한 용어였다. 6. 셈여림에 관한 용어는 대부분 원어를 생략한 용어였다. 7. 춤곡에 관한 용어, 성악곡의 종류와 형태에 관한 용어는 대부분 원어의 발음을 한글로 표기한 용어였다. 따라서 지금까지의 연구결과로부터 음악 용어의 사용에 따른 다음과 같은 문제점들을 발견하게 되었다. 첫째, 외국어를 한글로 해석하는 과정에서 오는 언어적 문제점이 지적되었고 둘째, 용어 제시에 있어서 기준점이 모호하였다. 셋째, 고등학교 8종 음악교과서마다 음악 용어가 전체적으로 통일되지 않았으며 넷째, 용어에 대한 설명과 활용에 관한 문제가 있었고 마지막으로 용어 철자의 오류와 같은 단편적인 문제점들이 제시되었다. 이를 개선하기 위해서는 기존의 음악 용어에 대한 사전의 학술적 검증이 필요하며 또한 올바른 음악 용어를 창출하기 위한 구체적인 원칙 설정과 실천적인 작업이 요구된다. 이 연구가 앞으로 다가올 새로운 방향의 모색에 기여할 수 있고 서양 음악 용어의 체계적 정립을 모색하려는 하나의 시도가 되기를 바란다.
