"報銀 奇遇錄" 硏究

Abstract

「報恩奇遇錄」은 樂善齋本 小說 作品中의 하나로서, 한글로 된 長篇小說이다. 作品의 背景과 이야기의 素材는 中國으로 되어 있으나 作中의 俗談과 人名, 그리고 作品에 反映된 社會相을 볼 때, 李朝末期의 創作物이라는 전제가 가능한 作品이다. 筆者는 이 作品의 종합적인 硏究로서 作品의 構造, 社會相, 그리고 作家意識을 살펴 보았다. 第Ⅱ章, 作品의 構造分析에서는 順次構造, 作中人物, 葛藤의 樣相을 살펴 보았다. 順次構造에서는 이야기의 順次的 段落을 111個로 나누고, 主人公의 一代記와 空間的 構成을 살펴본 바, 이 作品은 天上的 秩序를 바탕으로 한 構造的 原型性을 지닌, 神聖小說의 범주에서 벗어나지는 못한 作品임을 알 수 있었다. 作中人物은 主人公과, 主人公의 삶에 대해 肯定的인 態度를 보이는 人物群, 敵對的 態度를 보이는 人物群, 主人公을 幕後에서 도와주는 人物 등 4類型으로 分類했으며, 主人公과 敵對的 人物群과의 葛藤의 樣相을 살펴 보았다. 葛藤의 樣相은 父子間의 葛藤과 愛情的 敵對群과의 葛藤으로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 여기에서는 超越主義 立場에 선 主人公의 勝利로 解決된다. 第Ⅲ章, 作品에 反映된 社會相에서는 高利貸金業의 盛行, 贈賄賂行爲 人身賣買行爲, 賣爵行爲, 身分構造의 崩壞 등 李朝末期의 社會相과 유사한 면을 많이 찾아볼 수 있다. 따라서, 이 作品의 著作時期를 李朝末期로 推定해도 무리는 아닐 것이다. 또한 이 作品은 당시의 社會상황을 그린 現實反映의 作品으로 보여진다. 第Ⅳ章, 作品에 나타난 作家意識에서는 超越主義的인 世界觀에서 商業資本 爲主의 社會에 영향을 입은 現實主義的 世界觀으로 변모되어 감을 볼 수 있었다. 作家는 超越主義 世界觀을 바탕으로 하고는 있지만, 現實主義的 世界觀을 배제하지는 못한 것으로 보여진다. 따라서 이 作品의 史的 位置는 貴族系 小說과 庶民系 小說의 中間的 位置로서, 神聖小說에서 世俗小說로 移行되어가는 과정의 作品으로 보인다.;「Bo Eun Ki Woo Rok」 is one of the full-length novels written in Korean, which was reserve in Nak Seon Chao. The background and the subject matters of this work based on China, but the proverbs, person's names and the phase of life of this work make us possible to assume that this was created at the end of Yi dynasty. The structure, the phase of life and the consciousness of the author are studied in this thesis. In the chapter two, the structure is analized through the syntagmatic structure, persons who appeared in the work, and the phase of conflict. The whole story is divided into 111 sections and the life-history of the hero and the spacial frame are researched. As a result, 「Bo Eun Ki Woo Rok」 belongs to the Sacred Novel, which has the structural archetype based on the heavenly order. The persons in this work are classified into four types : hero, protagonists, antagonists, and the fourth type who help hero secretly. The trouble between hero and antagonists is also considered. The phase of Conflict is examined with two ways: one is the conflict between father and son and the other is the one between hero and antagonists. In this work, conflict was settled with hero's victory, who was helped by Heaven. In the chapter three, the phase of life seems to have much familarities with that of the end of Yi dynasty, such as flourishment of usury, offering bribe, trade of slave, breakdown of social standing, and buying selling government posts. So, it is possible to predict that 「Bo Eun Ki Woo Rok」 was written in the last period of Yi dynasty and this was reflected the Social phenomena of that time. In the chapter four, author's consciousness changed from the trancendental view point to the realistic view point is studied. It seems that the author wrote this work with the trancendental view point but he couldn't rule out the realistic one. In conclusion, 「Bo Eun Ki Woo Rok」 stands in the middle of the aristocratic novel and the novel for lower class, and 「Bo Eun Ki Woo Rok」 seems to be the transitional novel from the sacred Novel to the Profane Novel.
