都市의 이미지

Abstract

사회가 현대화, 도시화됨에 따라서 도시공간은 현대인이 더불어 숨쉬는 생활공간이 되었고 회화에서의 시각의 초점도 바뀌게 되었다. 본인은 도시라는 냉엄한 현실의 공간을 특히 빌딩들의 群集으로서의 도시 景觀을 抒情的 이미지로 해석하여 平靜의 화면으로 표현하고자 하였으며 일종의 "추상풍경화"로 전개하였다. 회화에서 도시의 빌딩은 풍경화의 소재로서 나타나기 시작하여 도시의 reality를 구현해 왔다. 그러나 본인의 "도시의 빌딩" 작업은 단순한 reality의 재현이라기 보다는 빌딩의 이미지와 색채를 통한 서정적 변용이다. 도시의 이미지를 화면에 재구성하는 단계에서는 빌딩의 본질적인 이미지로서 사각형과 선의 示唆的 잔영을 남기면서 구축적인 선과 색면의 대비로서 공간성을 추구해 나갔다. 이론적 기반으로 내용면에서는 도시풍경을 중심으로 빌딩을 모티브로 다룬 화가들과 비교하였고, 조형면에서는 P.Ce´zanne의 조형방법에서 영향받은 Cubist와 Viera da Siba의 전통적 원근법을 배제한 평면적 화면, Stae¨l의 색면추상을 연결시켰다. 본인의 실제작품의 분석을 통해 작품의 이론과 실제를 결부시키고 객관적 타당성 위에 극히 주관적인 창작행위에 대한 회화관을 설정, 재정립하고자 한다.;As society has been modernized and urbanized, space of city has become a full-life space of modern people and the point of view in fine art has been varied accordingly. In this connection, the author intended to express, through lyric image, space of city in stern reality, especially the author put it in the form of 'Abstract landscape'. In reconstructing the image of city on canvas, the author pursued spartiality through contrast between structural lines and spaces of color showing suggesting images of rectangles and lines that are essential image of buildings. As the basis of theory, the author in content compared with painters who chose buildings around city as a motive, and in modeling coordinated Viera da silba, Cubists with flat canvases free from the traditional perspective representation and the abstract painting of Stae¨l. In this thesis, the author intended not only to relate theory with a real work by analyzing the author's work but to reestablish viewpoint on subjective creative behaviors on the basis of objectivity.
