음악적 이미지의 입체표현

Abstract

음악과 미술은 예술이라는 커다란 테두리 속에서 서로를 닮아갈 때 예술의 영역을 넓힐 수 있는 가능성을 제시해 줄 수 있게 된다. 음악의 좋은 소재로서의 미술, 미술의 좋은 소재로서의 음악은 당연한 것이면서도 어려운 과제임에는 틀림없다. 미술의 좋은 소재로서의 음악적 이미지를 색체가 아니고 공예적인 기법을 위주로 도자작품 위에 표현하려할 때 많은 기술적인 제약점이 있음에도 불구하고 음악은 입체미술의 좋은 소재가 될 수 있는 가능성의 많음을 알게 되었다. 칸딘스키와 폴 클레의 작품에서 찾아볼 수 있는 음악적 요소와 그들이 제시한 작품세계를 그 이론적 배경으로 하여 회화와는 또다른 차원인 입체형 위에서, 표면의 texture를 위주로 한 도자작품으로 음악적 이미지를 표현해 보는 것이 이번 연구의 주제이다. 이러한 주제를 가지고 10개의 도자작품을 제작 분석하는 과정에서 아래와 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 보이지 않는 소재는 가시적인 소재보다 예술가들에게 더욱 창조적이며 예술적일 수 있는 소재가 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 2. 음악과 미술은 보다 넓게 서로를 닮아가며 예술이라는 테두리를 넓힐 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 알게 되었다. 3. 입체로 받아들여진 음악을 입체로 표현한다는 것은 당연하면서도 어려운 과제이나, 이를 극복할 때 입체미술은 음악과 좋은 조화를 이룰 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 도자미술이 가지는 기술적인 제약에서 오는 문제점도 있었다. 1. 보다 다양한 표면 장식법과 형태의 대담한 변형을 시도했을 때, 고전 음악뿐 아니라 pop art의 경향을 띄운 전위음악이나 pop music세계의 입체표현도 가능할 것이다. 2. 도자미술의 기술적인 제약조건인 유약을 다양하게 사용할 수 있을 때, 작가가 표현하려는 주제를 더욱 예술적으로 표현할 수 있을 것이다. 이런 문제점을 극복하고 기술적인 문제의 보완과 시야를 좀 더 넓게 가질 때, 음악이 입체미술의 좋은 소재로서 예술의 테두리를 넓혀 갈 수 있음을 보여 줄 수 있을 것이다.;When music and the fine arts are being similar to each other within the limit of art, they are able to show the possibility to widen the range of art. Music as a good subject matter of the fine arts and the line arts, of the music, they must be no wonder and also a difficult problem. When we are to express the image of music as a good matter of the fine arts on the ceramic works not with the color, but with the technological technics, we come to notice that music has a lot of possibilities to become a good material of cubic arts, in spite of many technical limitations. It is the major topic of this study to express the musical image with the ceramics putting superficial texture first, on the theoretical ground of the musical elements which can be found in the works of Kandinsky and Poul Klee and of the works' world thay indicate, on the solid body which is the different level from the painting. We can get these results in the course of producing and analysising the ten ceramic works with this topic. 1. Invisible material can be more creative and artistic visible one to artists. 2. Music and the fine arts are being similar to each other and they have the possibilities to widen the limit of the art. 3. Though it is natural and also a difficult problem to express the music taken as a cubic body a cubic, we come to know that the cubic arts harmonize well with the music when we overcome this problem. But there are the matters come from the technical limitations which the ceramic arts have. 1. If we try more various supertical devoration and daring change of the shape, we can make an attempt of a cubic expression of the avant-garde music which has a tendency of pop art and of the pop music world, as well as classical music. 2. If we can use glaze variously which is the technical limitation of the ceramic arts, the artist is able to express the subject which he wants to express more artically. We can show that music as a good material of the cubic arts is able to widen the limitation of art, when we overcome these matters, we have the wide sight and supplement the technical problems.
