제 7차 교육과정에 의한 중등 음악교과서의 인상주의 음악 연구

Abstract

This study examines the impressionistic music and its remarkable features shown in the 7th national curriculum of the middle school, and explore which composers and works are introduced for the study. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate that the impressionistic music instruction, based on the current curriculum is being accomplished in a right direction. There are many articles and documents about Claude Debussy (1862-1918) who is the representative of the impressionistic music; however, they are mostly music analyses of his works. On the contrary, this thesis shows how impressionism, which was started from the painting, has influenced to the poetry and music. It also presents how the music textbook explains the musical features of impressionism with adequate examples and illustrations. As a result of examination of the textbook, it points out the historical fact which is lack of accuracy in explaining the painting and poetry of the late 19th-century which were influential to the music. In addition, the musical features are only orderly listed without any specific descriptions and examples, and there is no reference about them. Although there are differences of level of each textbook, the instruction of the impressionistic music is only limited on the listening and music history without the study on the realms of singing and composing. Thus, it is a hard situation for the unification of the study. The instruction of the impressionistic music, laid stress upon listening is guided without the presentation of any purpose and valuation, and the music examples of listening were also presented covering the very first four measures, so we cannot understand the impressionistic music well throughout the small portion of the scores presented in the textbook. All compositions for the study of the impressionistic music are written by Debussy. Therefore, I analyze his three works, Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune , Claire de Lune, and Children's corner and presents the appropriate examples for the instruction in order that the students can learn the precise notion of impressionism only with a textbook. Moreover, I show the method which can develop the students' learning ability throughout not only listening but also singing and composing in order to give a good guide to the next edition, the 8th national curriculum. ;본 논문은 제 7차 교육과정에 의한 음악 교과서에서 인상주의 음악과 그 특징이 어떤 작곡자와 작품을 통해 소개되고 있는지를 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 인상주의 음악 교육이 적절히 이루어지는지 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 인상주의 음악의 대표적인 작곡가라고 할 수 있는 드뷔시에 대해서는 지금까지 많은 논문들이 나와 있지만 대부분 드뷔시(C. Debussy, 1862-1918)의 작품분석에 대한 논문들이다. 이에 반해 본 논문은 회화라는 예술 장르에서 시작된 인상주의가 시와 음악에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고, 음악 교과서에서는 인상주의의 음악 내용이 인상주의 특징 설명과 함께 적절한 악보의 예시를 통해 학습이 이루어지는지 분석하고자 한다. 교과서를 분석 한 결과 첫째, 인상주의 음악에 영향을 미친 19세기 후반의 회화와 시에 관한 교과서의 내용은 정확성이 결여된 역사적 사실을 소개하고 있었으며, 인상주의 음악의 특징들도 구체적인 설명과 예시 없이 나열 식으로만 소개되거나 또는 그러한 제시마저도 없이 학습하도록 되어 있었다. 둘째, 교과서별로 정도의 차이는 있으나 인상주의 음악은 감상 영역과 음악사 부분에서만 학습하도록 되어있고, 가창·기악·창작 영역의 학습에서는 이루어질 수가 없어 통합 학습을 하기에 어려운 실정이었다. 셋째, 감상 영역에 제시된 인상주의 음악은 목표와 평가도 없이 학습하도록 되어 있었으며, 감상 수업에 자료로 쓰인 악보는 곡목의 처음 시작 부분인 4마디 정도의 악보만 제시되어 있어 인상주의 음악 기법을 이해하는 데는 어려움이 있었다. 교과서에서 인상주의 음악 특징을 학습하도록 수록된 작품은 모두 드뷔시의 곡이었으며 본 연구에서는 교과서에 수록된 「목신의 오후에의 전주곡」,「달빛」,「어린이 세계」의 작품을 분석하고, 인상주의 음악 특징을 학습하기에 적절한 부분의 악보를 제시함으로서 교과서의 내용만 가지고도 학생들이 인상주의 음악 특징을 바르게 배울 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 또한 대부분 감상 영역에 치우쳐 있는 인상주의 음악 학습을 가창 영역과 창작 영역 및 기악 영역을 통해서도 인상주의 음악 요소를 배울 수 있도록 제시하여 자기 주도적 학습 능력을 기를 수 있도록 하고자 하며, 앞으로 전개될 제 8차 교육과정에 의한 음악 교과서 편찬에 도움이 되고자 한다.
