韓國의 敎育用 컴퓨터시스템 活用 硏究

Abstract

旣存文化의 傳承이라는 点에서 社會와 學校敎育은 불가분의 관계에 있다. 社會의 文化傳達 임무를 띠고 있는 學校敎育은 어떻게 이러한 文化傳達을 가장 효율적으로, 각 개인에게 傳達할 수 있을까 하는 것이 자연히 큰 관심사가 되어왔다. 現代社會의 特質 중의 하나는 傳承해야 하는 知識의 量的, 質的인 增加와 새로운 知識生成速度의 가속화, 이러한 現代社會에서 生活을 영위하기 위한 敎育人口의 팽창이다. 이러한 現代社會의 특질에 알맞는 敎育을 기존학교체제로서는 도저히 감당할 수 없게 되었으며 새로운 공학의 精髓인 컴퓨터의 도입이 불가피하게 되었다. 本論文은 韓國의 敎育用 컴퓨터의 도입 및 效果的인 活用을 위해 敎育用 컴퓨터가 活用되고 있는 實際 狀況을 파악하고 이에 대한 問題를 규명하여 앞으로의 方向을 提示하고자 했다. 이를 위하여 本論文은 CAI시스템에 관한 文獻硏究와 韓國에서의 敎育用컴퓨터의 活用에 관하여 硏究된 여러 資料들을 考察하였고, 現在 PLATO시스템 示範校인 서울 市內 4개 高校의 PLATO擔當敎師를 對象으로 1. CAI 시스템에 관한 事前知識 2. PLATO시스템의 現在 學校敎育에서의 使用用途 3. 앞으로 敎授프로그램 開發에 적절한 科目 4. PLATO시스템 使用에 있어서의 問題點에 대해서 면접 調査하였다. 本 論文의 內容 및 硏究結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 敎育에 있어 CAI가 도입되게 된 背景을 社會的 側面, 敎育內容的 側面, 敎育方法的 側面으로 나누어 살펴보았으며 外國의 CAI시스템 實際 및 CAI의 敎育的 效果에 대해 考察하였다. 2. 韓國의 敎育用컴퓨터의 活用現況을 一般 컴퓨터 및 PLATO시스템으로 大別하여 調査하였으며 그 結果 PLATO시스템은 이용할 수 있는 敎授프로그램의 開發 및 施設의 미비, 일선 敎師들의 PLATO를 利用할 수 있는 技術 및 認識의 부족에 의해 당초 個別學習의 實現을 目標로 한 PLATO시스템의 설치 의도대로 活用되고 있지 못함이 밝혀졌다. 따라서 PLATO시스템이 제대로 活用되기 위해서는 PLATO시스템의 關聯領域이 모두 協力하여 國家的인 規模의 事業으로 PLATO시스템의 硏究開發이 단행되어져야 할 것이다.;In point of handing the basic culture down, school education is inseparable from the society. School education to characterize cultural propagation has naturally shown great interest in delivering culture to individual most effectively. The features of modern society are the quantitative and qualitative increase of learning to be handed down, the acceleration informing new knowledge and the explosion of educational population to make a living in modern society. Schools were unable to fulfil their duties of spreading education fit for these social requirement, so computers, the essence of new engineering, have inevitably introduced. In the thesis, to introduce and make the most of computers for education the present situation of them is analyzed and their problems are solved and a right future direction is presente To make it, this study reviewed not only the literature concerning CAI system and several papers about utilizing computers for education in Korea but also matters which teachers taking charge of PLATO system are interviewed at 4 model high schools in Seoul. The above-mentioned matters are; 1. Previous learning about CAI system. 2. The current use for PLATO system in school education. 3. Subjects suitable for developing future instructional program. 4. Problems in employing PLATO system. Contents and results of this study are as follows. 1. This study reviewed background in introducing CAI system from the viewpoints of society, educational manners and a general tendency that electrical and electronic machinery and appliances had actively been introduced in school education after the 1950s. Also it reviewed CAI system being utilized in foreign countries and the educational effect of CAI system. 2. Being divided broadly into general computers and PLATO system, present conditions to utilize computers for education in Korea were investigated. It was made public that PLATO system whose target is to realize individualized instruction had not been made the most of according to its purpose to establish it by lack of its equipments, developing instructional program and technology and knowledge to use it. Therefore, to make the most of PLATO system all organizations in relation to it should research and develop it cooperatively as a national project.
