선을 모티브로 한 비대상표현(non-objective)의 패브릭디자인

Abstract

21세기는 자동화에 의한 대량생산 시대에서 품질을 중시하는 질의 시대로 변화하고 있다. 고객의 기호에 대응할 수 있는 일품종 일품 생산의 시대로 들어서게 된 것이다. 이에 디자이너들은 창의적인 아이디어 개발을 위해 개인의 독창성을 사용하고 있고, 이를 바탕으로 상품을 차별화 하는 마케팅 전략을 세우고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 선모티브를 이용, 인간의 내면 표현에 의한 디자인을 개발하여 다양한 소비자의 기호를 고려할 수 있는 디자인을 개발하고자 한다. 이론적 배경으로는 비대상(non-objective)이론에 근거한다. 비대상 이론은 물질주의 시대 이 후 강조되기 시작한 이론으로 내면적인 예술만이 섬세한 정서를 깨워 일으킬 수 있다고 본다. 이러한 이론에 의한 내면적인 표현을 통해 창조적인 디자인을 개발하고, 인간의 심성을 보호하고자 한다. 작품 모티브로는 감정과 정서를 지닌 유기체로서의 선을 이용하여 내면 변화의 흐름에 따라 표현하였다. 작품제작 과정에는 tape 이용하여 선의 자연스러움과 입체감을 통해, 기존의 볼 수 있었던 디자인과 차별화한 창의적인 패턴 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구자는 선 모티브를 이용한 텍스타일 패턴 디자인을 개발하는데 있어 문헌 연구와 함께 그것을 바탕으로 작품을 제작하고 분석하였다. 첫째, 20세기 초 발생하여 오늘날까지 현대 디자인에 영향을 끼치고 있는 비대상 (non-objective) 예술의 문헌자료들을 통해 비대상 개념의 발생 배경과 의미를 연구하고 그것의 예술적 가치를 알아본다. 둘째, 선의 조형성에 대한 이론적 고찰로 선의 종류와 내포하고 있는 의미에 대해서 분석해 본다. 또한 회화에서 선을 이용한 작가의 내적인 표현을 고찰해봄으로써 선 모티브의 예술적 가능성을 알아본다. 셋째, 텍스타일 디자인의 개념과 함께 선 모티브의 활용 가능성과 사용된 예들을 구조적인 면과 장식적인 면으로 분류하여 연구하고 분석하여 본다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해서 선 모티브를 이용한 텍스타일을 제작하고, 이것이 현대 사회에서 요구되고 있는 고부가 가치의 텍스타일 디자인으로써 시장 경쟁력을 창출할 수 있는 가능성을 타진해 보고자 한다. ;The twenty-first century we are living in is changing from automative mass production to quality-oriented era. In this ear, we are, we approaching to the level of one unit production for one item in order to meet the taste and sense of customers. Accordingly, designers are using their own senses to develop creative ideas, and based on them, marketing strategies are developed o distinguish their on products. Therefore, this project is to develope design using way of sensing, and is based upon non-objective theory. Non-objective theory is emphasized after materialsm era, an it views that only inner arts can enlighten delicate sentiments. In accordance with the theory, I would like to develop creative designs using inner expression and protect human nature. In the art works, I applied likes, which freely represent inner expressions, to describe human nature from deep down in one's heart and to develop new designs. In developing pattern designs using a line motif, my project is studied on related documents, art works and analysis. These are the theoretical backgrounds; First of all, I would like to examine non-objective art, which started from the beginning of the twentieth century, the meaning of it and how it still affect modern design. Second, I would like to analyze types and meanings of lines as a theoretical approach to formative beauty. In addition, I would like to examine an artistic possibility of line motive through considering inner expression lines that lines represent in paintings. Third, I would like to search a possibility of being able to utilize line motive and analyze its applied examples in structual and decorative aspects. Last, form studying all of above and by designing my own inner image using the line motif, I would like to sound out the possibility of this textile design as highly brand-powered design.
