In these days, there are unbelievable number of different cultures and modalities that forms cultural pluralism. This tendency can been seen not only in the modern art but also in all of the area with meaningless stipulation of a notion. In another word, all kinds of arts have an effect on each other which leads to the possibility of the unification. A new method of modeling consideration is offered in the area of textile by contacting with other areas of art. By rebuilding of the form of the modeling of introduction with different thoughts this form jump out from the monotonous style and becomes part of the new effort. Within the reciprocal action of different areas modeling, which we could feel with new sense, this method of modeling consideration can develop into the design of another dimension. In this experimentation, buildings, a modeling method that will be grafted to textile, are adopted as the motive. Although the buildings are universal to our environment, we consider them unconsciously. Therefore, I chose Herzog & de Meuron, which see buildings in a new point of view, as my research object. By expressing buildings in a new way, Herzog & de Meuron investigates expressive side in an extreme form. I researched the following information about Herzog & de Meuron, which is trying to break the ordinariness, by analyzing and representing their expression that also can be recreated in this modern day as motive of artistic textile design. Firstly, I observed the modeling characteristics of existing products and buildings of textile, and presented remodeling textile design, which forms interior part of the building, unifies with the building materials and creates unified environment. Secondly, by researching and analyzing the examples, in which modeling motive, which is shown in buildings, was used in textile design, I examined the way of how the image of building was applied. Thirdly, I researched the consideration of the buildings of Herzog & de Meuron through documentation, and analyzed the modeling style of buildings. Lastly, modeling characteristics, seen in Herzog & de Meuron, which are repetition of volume of form and dynamic elements show possibilities that can create abstract outlook by applying them into the textile. By unifying constructive formation and outlook, I practiced the creativeness. I thought that these trials are suggested as a new motive and they have possibility of development. I think if these trials come out as products, by newly creating the physical value of the product and psychological utility, which is the feeling that we get from the external value, the effect could be more recognized.-
