PDA용 아이콘 언어의 설계 및 구현

Abstract

본 논문에서는 언어적 제약 없이 의사소통을 할 수 있는 아이콘 언어를 제안한다. 그림으로 뜻을 표현할 수 있다면 굳이 문자가 필요하지 않을 수 있으며, 이것을 가능하게 하는 아이콘 언어를 개발한다면 국가를 초월하는 언어가 탄생될 것이다. 또한 아이콘 언어는 유아의 창의성 계발 관련학습의 응용·제작과 장애인 의사소통에 도움이 되도록 활용될 수 있다. 아이콘 언어는 아이콘이라는 그래픽 요소로 표현하므로 음성언어를 통하지 않고서도 쉽게 인지될 수 있는 장점이 있는 반면, 아이콘으로 표현하기에 무리가 따르는 대상들이 많이 있으므로 자칫하면 아이콘의 수가 매우 많아질 수 있다. 또한 아이콘으로 의사를 표현해야 하므로 다양한 통사규칙 등을 규정해야 하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 체계적인 아이콘 언어의 문법을 설계하여 활용한다면 언어의 장벽을 허물고 아이콘 언어로 외국인과 컴퓨터나 PDA등을 매개로 대화를 주고 받을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 아이콘 언어의 토대가 되는 단어와 문장의 기초적인 문법규칙을 설계하고 특정 도메인 중심의 아이콘 언어 시스템을 개발하였다. 아이콘 언어의 설계방법은 크게 단어와 문장설계로 나누어져 있다. 단어설계에서는 특정 도메인에서 발췌한 어휘를 품사별로 아이콘화 하였고, 문장설계에서는 구(句)와 종결형에 대한 문법을 정의하였다. ;This paper proposes iconic language that can do communication without restriction of language. If we can express meaning by picture, may not need character. Also, if iconic language that do this as is possible is developed, language that transcend the country may be gotten born. And iconic language can be utilized to aid on infant's application of initiative development connection studying/manufacture and disabled person's communication. Because iconic language expresses by graphic element of icon, there is could recognize easily advantage without going through spoken language. But, these method has faults that must prescribe various syntax rule because must express idea by because much targets who is not easy to express by icon are, that improvement of icon becomes very many and icon. But, if we utilize designing systematic iconic language's grammar, that can pull down wall of language and use foreigner and computer or PDA etc. in iconic language and exchange conversation all. This paper designs basic grammatical rule of word and composition that become iconic language's foundation and developed iconic language system of specification domain center. Iconic language's design method is divided by word and sentence design greatly. At word design process, we made vocabulary that extract in specification domain by icon by word class, and defined grammar about phrase and termination style at sentence design process
