新聞家庭爛이 家庭管理에 미치는 影響에 關한 硏究

Abstract

One of the big characteristics of modern society is the rapid change of social environment. Therefore, a family which is the fundamental basis of the social structure should keep pace with the change. A homemaker should get the first-hand information on the changing conditions and analyze it in oder to have well-run home and to help members of the family get well adjusted to the ever-changing environment. Homemakers are reading lithe home life section" of the newspaper to get ready for the change. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state of the home life section of daily newspapers; to make an analysis of homemakers' interests and use of the section, their demands; to indicate a new direction for a better coverage of articles on home management. For the more comprehensive study a wider range questions, newspapers should have been considered. However, the present study only focuses on the following: First, what is the effect of the home life section on home management? Second, what is the state of the section in daily newspaper? Third, what are homemakers' demands for the section? Howare the demands different according to a homemakers' age, education, years of marriage, monthly income, the type of family, a spouse's job and the presence and absence of a housewife's job? For the study, various books, related articles on the home life section of daly newspapers, questionnaires have been utilized. The articles are from four different daily newspapers in the years from 1978 to 1980. The questionnaires cover the bakgrounds of the informants, their interests and use of the home life section and their demands for it. The results of the study and investigation can be summarized as follows: 1. The articles in the home life section help homemakers establish plans for home management, supply information and knowledge on consumption, and changing val us judgements. 2. The coverage and frequency of the articles in the section differ from newspaper to newspaper. What is conspicuous is that articles on management and life plans are lacking, The most frequently covered ones are on home economics and the least on home management. 3. As for the demands of homemakers more varied and frequent coverage of the section is desired. Its practicality and interests are also preferred. Articles on childcare and education attract homemakers most but that on management attracts them least. As homemakers are yunger and more educated, they do not read the home life section but they read scholars' articles. On th other hand, the older and less educated read the section out of pure interest. It is noteworthy that the least read and covered article is on management. As the modern society is more mechanized and the value judgements are changing, homemakers should have more interest and pay more attention to the articles on home management. Thus it is hoped that more than ever the newspapers allow more space for the home life section and moreover, tighter planning, practicality of the section be considered.;現代의 家庭管理者는 家庭을 健全하게 운영해 나가기 위하여 變化하는 環境을 정확하고 빠르게 파악하여 家族들로 하여금 環境에 잘 適應하도록 대처하고 있다. 本 硏究에서는 變化하는 環境을 理解하기 위하여 主婦들이 新聞을 家庭管理에 어떻게 얼만큼 利用하는가, 그리고 앞으로 家庭欄에 對하여 어떤 要求를 하고 있는가를 알기 위하여 家庭欄에 對한 實態를 調査하고 主婦의 家庭欄에 대한 關心과 利用度, 要求事項에 對한 調査를 하였다. 그리고 新聞으로 하여금 主婦들이 원하는 效率的인 家庭管理를 위한 記事를 編輯할 수 있도록 그 方向을 提示하는데 目的을 두고 있다. 위의 目的을 위하여 관련된 文獻과 家庭欄 記事, 質問紙를 通한 調査結果를 硏究分析 資料로 삼았다. 新聞의 家庭欄 記事는 1978년으로부터 1980년까지 3년간의 4個 新聞 記事이고, 對象 主婦는 20-60才까지의 서울에 거주하는 843名을 무작위 선출하였다. 以上의 調査分析 結果를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 家庭欄 記事는 家庭管理者의 計劃 수립과 意思 決定에 도움을 주고 消費를 위한 정보와 知識을 제공하며 變化하는 價値觀의 전달에 影響을 미치고 있다. 2. 日刊新聞 家庭欄 記事의 實態를 分析해 보면 記事 內容과 기재 횟수가 各 新聞社別로 크게 차이가 있고 家庭生活을 이끌어 가야할 生活計劃이나 經營 分野의 記事가 소홀하다. 또 家庭欄 記事중 가장 많이 실린 것은 家庭經濟에 관한 記事이며 가정 적은 것은 家庭經營에 관한 記事이다. 3. 家庭欄 記事에 대하여 主婦들은 記事의 種類가 더 多樣하고 횟수가 많아지기를 원하며 記事가 實用性 있고 興味 있기를 원한다. 主婦들이 가장 關心 있게 읽는 家庭欄 記事는 兒童保育과 敎育에 관한 記事이며 가장 關心이 적은 것은 家庭經營에 關한 記事이다. 主婦들의 年齡이 낮고 學歷이 높을수록 家庭欄 記事를 잘 읽지 않으나 읽는 面은 學者들의 論文을 많이 읽고, 年齡이 높고 學歷이 낮을수록 家庭欄 記事를 읽는 時間은 많으나 興味本位로 읽는다. 分析 結果에서 提示한바와 같이 新聞 家庭欄 記事中 가장 적은 部分과 主婦들의 關心이 가장 적은 部分이 모두 家庭經營에 關한 記事이다. 現代社會에 있어서 家庭의 機能이 社會化되고 價値觀이 變化하므로 家庭의 目的과 社會的 機能을 더욱 理解하여야 하므로 家庭經營이 무엇보다도 重要한데 家庭管理者들이 家庭經營의 重要性을 認識하지 못한다는 것은 큰 問題가 아닐 수 없다. 그러므로 家庭主婦들은 家庭管理의 資料로서 新聞의 家庭欄中 家庭經營 記事에 關心을 가지고 이를 利用하여야 하겠고 新聞은 家庭欄의 重要性을 認識하고 특히 家庭欄 編輯을 計劃性 있게 해야하겠다.
