옵·아트를 응용한 흑·백 의상디자인

Abstract

현대문명사회에서 끊임없이 전개되고 있는 개성적이고 다양한 조형표현의 욕구는 새로운 옵티컬 일루젼의 표현을 탄생시켰다. 회화로 부터 출발된 옵티컬 일루젼은 착시현상과 함께 시각상의 자극적 요소가 강하게 작용하여 환각적인 이미지로서 강렬한 표현효과를 나타낸다. 이러한 시각적 환상은 디자인, 건축, 의상들을 통한 여러 분야에 막대한 영향을 주면서 조형예술의 전 분야에 적극적으로 응용되어 사회대중에 소개되고 있다. 특히 복식 분야에서는 복식조형예술이라는 창조적 접근을 위해 유연하고 다양한 섬유재료의 특징을 효과 있게 배합하여 독특한 분위기를 연출할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 이러한 옵 패턴(Op·pattern)의 특징을 복식디자인의 모티브로 이용하여 인체의 율동과 입체적으로 조화시킴으로서 개성적이고 표현적인 복식 디자인 개발의 가능성을 모색하는데 있다. 또한 인간이 지각할 수 있는 가장 민감한 반응은 명도대비라는 점을 착안하여 명도 차이가 가장 큰 흑과 백의 대조를 통해 옵·아트의 착시효과의 극대화를 추구 하였다. 연구방법은 이론적배경과 작품제작으로 나누었으며 흑백의 색채사적인 기원 및 특징 그리고 옵·아트의 일반적 특성 등을 이론적 배경에서 다루었고 작품 제작은 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 여러 가지 소재를 사용하여 옵티컬(Optical) 디자인을 응용하여 제작하였다.;The expression of optical illusion which develops continuously in the modeling aspect came to have various methods with peculiar form with the changes of the times in modern society. The optical illusion has the intense stimulative elements of vision, a modern image and the effect of a individual expression because it began as a genre of the visual art for showing the public without a burden. It has important effects upon many areas such as design, paintings and architecture and is positively applied to the whole area of the visual art, for it constructs a creative artistic form by the expansion of the area of materials option. This aspect is also found in the area of clothes and the effective mixture of the flexible and diverse peculiarities of fibre materials is tried out for the creative approach of the clothes modeling art. The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of developing a clothes design by using the distinctive features of Op pattern which is effective on a human being's optical illusion as a motive of a clothes design and three-dimensionally harmonizing them with the rhythm of the human body. Also I pursued the maximization of the optical illusion effect through the contrast of black and white which have a great difference in their light degrees, observing the most sensitive response which human can perceive is the contrast of light degree and made good use of the effect on Op Art.
