Abstract
本 硏究의 目的은 專門學校 敎育制度에 대한 理論的 背景을 찾고, 專門學校 敎育의 發展過程을 살피고, 그 實態를 把握하여, 여기서 問題點을 찾아내어 專門學校 敎育의 改善方案을 提示하는데 있다. 本 硏究問題로서 專門學敎의 役割은 무엇이며, 發達過程은 어떠하며, 專門學校의 實態는 어떠한가, 專門學敎 학생과 一般企業體에서 專門學敎 敎育에 要求하고 있는 것은 무엇이며, 專門學敎 敎育의 問題點은 무엇인가로 設定하였다. 本 硏究의 方法은 文獻硏究, 質問紙法 그리고 面接法을 使用하였다. 實態調査對象은 專門學校 102校이며 質問紙法으로는 全國 專門學校中 10個校 400名을 對象으로 하였다. 第Ⅱ章에서는 專門學校 敎育制度의 背景을 歷史的 側面과 理論的 側面으로 考察하고 第Ⅲ章에서는 本 硏究의 意圖에 따라 본 專門學校의 現況과 實態를 把握하였는데 먼저 設置現況, 學生現況, 敎授現況, 敎育課程運營現況 및 學生들의 進路狀況에 대한 實態를 把握하였고 專門學校 敎育에 대한 學生과 企業體의 意見을 分析하여 다음과 같은 問題點을 찾았다. 이를 要約하면 ① 國·公·私立, 地域別, 系列別, 設置의 偏重, ② 履修單位의 過多, ③ 特히 私立 專門學校의 施設不足, ④ 卒業生의 進路에 대한 對策의 不足, ⑤ 學敎生活에 대한 不適應 등을 들 수 있다. 이러한 硏究結果를 通하여 다음과 같이 提言한다. 첫째, 專門學校 設置現況에서 設立別, 地域別, 系列別, 設置 偏重은 마땅히 止揚되어야 한다. 둘째, 總履修單位를 再調整하여야 한다. 세째, 施設不足은 財團과 國家에서 共同으로 補完하여야 한다. 네째, 入學銓衡은 大學入學豫備考査合格者로써 하여야 한다. 다섯째, 學校生活에 대하여 잘 할 수 있게 制度的配慮와 아울러 學生生活 指導에 깊은 配慮가 있어야 하겠다. 여섯째, 專門學敎 卒業生에 대하여 就業은 어느 程度 保障되어야 하며 正當한 경제적, 社會的 待遇를 하여야 할 것이다. 일곱째, 專門學敎 敎授들의 責任時間의 적정선은 조정되어야 한다.;The object of this study is to find out the theoretical background of the educational system of Junior Technical Colleges (JTC), and investigate the developing process of the JTC in order to grasp their realities and present the methods of improvement for the JTC education. As a subject of this study problems concerning the role of JTC, their growing process, and their realities, as well as the demands of students and enterprises toward the technical education were selected. The method of the study is composed of the study of bibliography, written inquiries, questionnaire and interviews. To investigate the present situation of the JTC 102 schools were reviewed and 400 students from 10 schools were interviewed. Chapter II is given to the study of the background of the system of technical educations both in historic and theoretical sides. Chapter III is devoted to the investigation of the present situation of the JTC including facilities, curricula, job oppor-tunities wanted by the students. Through the analysis of the opinions of both students and businessmen on the present JTC education, the following problems are found out : 1. Maldistribution of public and private schools and school departments in different localities. 2. Excess of units of course work. 3. Shortage of educational facilities in private schools. 4. Shortage of vocational opportunities for the graduates. 5. Inadaptability of the students to the course work, etc. As a conclusion the following are recommended. 1. Maldistribution of public and private schools and school departments in different localities should be corrected. 2. Total units required for graduation should be readjusted. 3. The shortage of school facilities should be supplemented by both school foundation and the government. 4. The qualification of the students for the entrance examination should be limited to those who passed the preliminary examination for college entrance. 5. There should be profound considerations both in educational system and guidances for students to do their course work satisfactoritly. 6. There should be enough vocational opportunities for the graduates.
