父母의 養育態度와 어린이의 自我槪念 및 學業成積과의 相關硏究

Abstract

本 硏究는 父母의 養育態度와 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度에는 어떠한 關係가 있는지를 밝히고, 어린이의 自我槪念形成에 父母의 養育態度 및 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度가 각각 어떤 影響을 주는지를 밝히고, 아울러 上記 3個 變因이 어린이의 學業成績에는 어떠한 關係가 있는지를 밝힘으로써 어린이 養育에 있어서 具體的이고 實際的인 示唆를 얻고자 하는데 硏究目的이 있다. 이상의 硏究目的을 達成하기 위해 本 硏究에서는 各自의 自我槪念을 客觀的으로 記述할 수 있는 學齡段階에 속한다고 보여지는 國民學校 5學年 어린이 503명을 標集하여 本人들의 自我槪念을 總自我身體, 道德, 性格, 家庭, 社會의 領域에 걸쳐 測定하고 또 이들이 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度를 測定하였다. 그리고 被調査對象이 된 어린이 父母에게는 本人들의 養育態度 反應을 하도록 했다. 이상과 같은 科程을 通하여 얻어진 資料를 基礎로 하여 父母의 養育態度와 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度의 各 領域別로 相關係數를 算出했다. 또 어린이의 自我槪念과 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度, 그리고 父母의 養育態度間에 相關關係를 算出했다. 마지막으로 上記 3個 變因과 學業成績의 關係를 檢討했다. 이상의 科程에서 얻어진 相關係數는 5%水準과 1%水準에서 有意度를 검정했다. 本 硏究에서 얻어진 結果는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 被調査對象이 된 어린이의 自我槪念 중에서 性格的인 自我槪念은 比較的 明確치가 않다. 둘째, 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度는 全般的으로 볼 때 父母들보다도 어린이가 보다 더 肯定的으로 바람직한 態度로 보고 있다. 그러나 領域에 따라서는 父母의 見解가 어린이의 知覺보다도 더 本人들의 養育態度를, 보다 肯定的으로 받아들이고 있다. 例를 들어서 父母들은 本人의 養育態度가 嚴格하지 않은 것으로 또는 盲從을 要求하지 않은 것으로 보고 있는데 反해 어린이들은 父母들의 養育態度가 嚴格하고 盲從을 强要하고 있는 것으로 받아들이고 있다. 셋째, 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度와 父母가 反應한 養育態度에는 差異가 있으나 基本的인 方向에서는 一致되는 傾向이 있다. 넷째, 어린이의 自我槪念에 보다 많은 영향을 주는 것은 父母들이 記述한 養育態度 보다도 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 父母의 養育態度가 보다 더 强한 영향을 주고 있는 것 같다. 다섯째, 學業成績과 自我槪念에는 有意한 相關이 나타나 어린이 스스로 本人을 肯定的으로 받아들일 때 어린이의 學業成績은 높게 나타나고 있다. 그러나 이 關係는 순환적인 關係인지 因果關係인지가 明確치가 않다. 여섯째, 學業成績과 父母의 養育態度는 어린이가 知覺하고 있는 養育態度보다 父母의 養育態度가 보다 더 相關이 높게 나타나고 있다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate the following; (1) The relationship between the child rearing attitudes which the parents' themselves perceive and the children's perception of their parents' child rearing attitudes. (2) The effect of the parents' child rearing attitudes on children's self concepts. (3) The effect of the children's perception of their parent's attitudes on their self concepts. (4) The relationships among the child rearing attitudes which the parents' themselves perceive, the children's perception of their parents; attitudes, self concepts, and the children's school achievement. For these purposes, five hundreds and three fifth grade students are randomly selected, and their self-concepts were tested. The parents of the children were also asked to respond on their child rearing attitudes. The results of the study were as follow (1) The parents child rearing attitudes and the children's perception of their parents' attitudes were significantly different. (2) The children's perception of their parents attitude was significantly more effective in the formation of the self concept than parents' child rearing attitudes. (3) The relationship between the parents' child rearing attitudes and the child's school achievement was more significant than the relationship with children's perception of parents child rearing attitudes.
