二層構造를 통한 槪念的 object 表現 硏究

Abstract

일찌기 先史時代부터 출발한 흙의 造形은 시대가 변함에따라 그 시대의 가치와 그 사회가 요구하는 造形意志로서 다양하게 변모되어 왔다. 현대예술에 있어서 陶藝는 마르셀 뒤샹(Marcel Duchamp)의 오브제(Object) 개념이 등장한 이후 추상표현주의(Abstract Expressionism)와 연결되어졌고, 현재에 이르기까지 機能的 形式에 구애받지 않는 自由로운 造形言語로서 다양한 오브제 작품들이 산출되고 있다. 본 연구는 현대도예사에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 오브제의 의미를 문헌을 통해 고찰해 보고, '자연을 향하여'를 중심개념으로 하는 이층구조를 통한 槪念的 Object를 표현한 것이다. 구조적 측면으로 '이층구조'를 선택한 이유는 多元的이 조건을 수용하기 위해서이며, 개념적 측면으로 '자연을 향하여'를 채택한 동기는 環境 및 自然에 대한 再認識을 필요로하는 현대의 상황에 주목한 때문이며 결과적으로 자연에 대한 친화를 도모하였다. 작품제작에 있어서 成形은 다양한 방법을 사용하여 上層部에는 자연의 구체적 형상을, 下層部에는 중심개념의 전달을 위해 구조적으로 方向性의 image를 조형하였다. 施釉는 대부분 담금시유 후 닦아내는 방법으로써 자연스러운 태토색을 나타내주었다. 또한, 일부 작품에 한국의 전통기법을 응용하여 현대도예에서의 한국적 image를 살리고자 하였다. 이와같은 분석적인 연구와 작업은 본 연구자에게 '흙과 인간의 관계'를 탐구하는 종은 경험이 되었으며, 앞으로 전개될 造形言語의 具現에 밑거름이 되고자 한다.;The formation of clay, which has started from the prehistoric ear, has been transfigured into the various and appropriate forms as the era changed, adjusting to what the corresponding era place values and to what the society requires as the molding will. Since the emergence of "object concept" by Marcel Duchamp, ceramic art as a modern art form has been connected with the Abstract Expressionism, and different kinds of object works have been produced as the free formation language with no binding to its functional forms. The purpose of this study is to examine significance of "object" which has greatly influenced the history of modern ceramic art, through literature, and to present "conceptual object" through two-storeyed structure which has the main concept of "toward the nature". The reason for choosing the "two-storeyed structure" as a formal aspect was to accommodate the plural conditions, and the motive for adopting "toward the nature" as n conceptual aspect was from the observation of the modern situation which needs a new understanding about the environments and nature. Ceramic formation as a production of a ceramic works used various kinds of methods through which it modeled nature's concrete shape for the upper part, and image of direction for the lower part. Glazing is the method of polishing after dipping, and it represents natural clay color. In addition, by applying traditional Korean method to some of my works, I tried to revive the Korean image in the mordern ceramic art. The analytical research and work as the above has been a helpful experience for me to explore "the relationship between earth and human", and it will be an important groundwork for the forthcoming realization of formation language.
