시각 - 운동발달 프로그램이 유아의 시 지각 능력에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 유아기에 경험하는 운동놀이 활동으로서의 시각-운동발달 프로그램에 참여가 시 지각 능력 즉 시각 -운동 협응 능력, 도형 -소지 변별능력, 형의 항상성 지각 능력, 공간 위치 지각 능력, 공간 관계 지각 능력을 발달시킬 수 있는 지 실험적으로 구명하고, 유아의 시 지각 능력을 향상시키는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하는데 그 목적을 둔다. 이와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 만 5세에 해당하는 남녀 유아를 대상으로 2주 동안 시각 -운동발달 프로그램을 실시하였으며, 실험 전후에 사전 검사 및 사후 검사를 통해서 시 지각 발달의 변화를 측정하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 시각 - 운동발달 프로그램은 시 지각 능력을 발달 촉진하거나 교정예방하기 위한 두 가지 목적을 가지고 구성한 Frostig 시 지각 발달프로그램 (The Frostig Developmental Program in Visual Perception) 의 1972년 판 훈련과제들을 운동 놀이 활동을 할 수 있도록 본 연구자가 수정 및 보완한 운동발달 프로그램이다. 실험 처치 후 시 지각 능력의 변화를 알아보기 위해 사용된 측정도구는 여광응(2001)에 의해서 한국어판으로 번역된 Marianne Frostig의 시 지각 발달검사 (Developmental Test Of Visual Perception )를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과 시각 -운동 발달 프로그램은 유아의 시각 -운동 협응 능력, 도형 소지 변별 능력, 항상성 지각 능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 시각 -운동 발달 프로그램은 유아의 공간 위치 및 관계 지각 능력에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 결론적으로 운동 놀이활동으로서 이루어지는 유아기의 시각 -운동발달 프로그램은 기본 운동기술의 발달의 민감기에 실시 되어졌을때 시 지각 능력의 하위 요소 중 시각 -운동 협응 능력, 도형 -소지 변별능력, 형의 항상성 지각 능력 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다고 사료된다.;This study has five purpose ; 1) to examine the influence of visual - motor development program on developing visual perception of preschool children ; 2) to examine differences in visual perception with respect to children's gender in preschool children To maintain this purpose , we investigated the preschool children in the kindergarten from April . 11 -25 , 2003 . we experimented with visual - motor development program eight times for two weeks , a total eight experiments and surveyed the changes of visual perception through pre and post tests. The subject were 34 kindergarten children , aged 5 ( 16 boys and 18 girls Among them randomly assigned to the control group. This research consisted of four phases : pre-test , visual-motor development program training , post-test 1 and post -test 2. The assessment of visual - perception was based on the work of M . Frostig, Developmental Test of visual perception (1961). It consisted of visual - motor coordination, figure - ground , perception constancy, perception of position and perception of spatial relationship. Three-way analysis of variance were used for analyzing data collected from pre and post-test repeated Measures. The result obtained from this study were as follows : 1. The training of visual-motor development program was influential for developing the visual perception of preschoolers. 1) The fiexibility of the experimental group was significantly higher visual -motor coordination , figure - ground , perception constancy than that of the control group ( p < .05 , p < . 01). 2) The fiexibility of the experimental group wasn't significantly higher perception of position and spatial relationship than that of the control group ( p < .05 ). 2. There were no significant differences in visual perception between boys and girls at the kindergarten level.
