정신지체 부모들의 방과후 특수체육활동에 대한 인식도 및 만족도 조사 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the parents with mental retardation's awareness and satisfaction on adapted physical activity . The results of this study will provide basic data for physical activity on students with mental retardation. The subjects of this study were 197 parents of mental retardation with children in which have been adapted physical activity, living in Seoul and Kyunggido. Questionnaires were distributed by means of 111 personal interview method from March to May 2003. The data were analyzed by using SPSS-WIN 10.0 program. The results were as follows; First, there was shown high parents awareness of children with mental retardation that physical activity is important 92 percents. The significant differences in parents awareness were found according to the general characteristics such as age, education and business. Second, the significant differences in parents awareness were found according to the son and daughter's general characteristics such as sex, age, degree of disability and adapted physical activity of experience period. Third, there was shown high parents satisfaction of children with mental retardation that was satisfied 65 percents. The significant differences in parents satisfaction were found according to general characteristics such as age, education and business. Fourth, the significant differences in parents satisfaction were found according to the son and daughter's general characteristics such as sex, age, degree of disability and adapted physical activity of experience period. Fifth, there was a significant positive correlations between parents awareness and parents satisfaction. When parents with sons and daughters of mental retardation of awareness higher that was also higer parents with sons and daughters of mental retardation of satisfaction.;본 연구는 정신지체 부모들의 방과후 특수체육활동에 대한 인식도와 만족도를 규명함으로써 현재 정신지체 아동의 방과후 특수체육활동에 적합한 프로그램 및 발전방향을 제공하기 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 시도되었다. 조사대상은 서울, 경기지역에 거주하고 있는 정신지체 아동 중 방과후 특수체육활동을 실시하고 있는 아동의 부모197명으로 2003년 3월 3일부터 5월24일까지 연구자와 연구보조자들에 의해 개별적인 면담 방식으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS-WIN 10.0 통계 프로그램으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 정신지체 부모들은 특수체육활동에 대해서 매우중요하게 생각한다 51%, 중요하게 생각한다 41%로 전체의 92%가 나타나 높은 인식도를 보이고 있다. 정신지체 부모의 일반적 특성에 따른 인식도에서는 연령별로는 40대가, 학력이 높을수록 수입이 많을수록 인식도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 자녀 특성에 따른 부모 인식도에서 성별로는 남아가, 연령별로는 10세미만이 부모인식도가 높게 나타났고, 장애등급별로는 2급이, 참여기간 별로는 5년동안 특수체육활동을 한 아동 부모들의 인식도가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 정신지체 아동 부모들은 특수체육활동에 대하여 매우 만족한다 23%, 만족한다 42%로 전체의65%가 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 정신지체 부모의 일반적 특성에 따른 만족도에서 연령별로는 40대가 높게 나타났고, 학력에서는 고졸이, 월수입에서는 200만원 이상이 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 자녀 특성에 따른 특수체육활동 만족도에서 성별로는 남아가, 나이별로는 10세미만이 장애등급별로는 1급이, 참여기간 별로는 1년 동안 특수체육 활동한 자녀가, 활동 내용으로는 기본운동이 높은 만족도를 보였다. 다섯째, 정신지체 부모들의 특수체육활동에 대한 인식도와 만족도요인과는 유의한 상관관계가 있으며, 부모들의 특수체육활동 인식이 높으면 만족도가 높은 것을 알 수 있다.
