On line_off line에서 나타나고 있는 가상공간 표현 연구

Abstract

본인의 작업은 지금의 시대적 상황을 조형언어로 드러낸 것이다. 서울이라는 대도시에 태어나 생활하면서 도시 문명의 다양하고 다른 변화들을 접해왔고 그러한 변화의 순간마다 위기와 희망을 동시에 느끼며 생활해 온 자체가 본인의 작업을 이루는 주요 배경으로 되어왔기 때문이다. 특히 대학원에 들어오면서 급변하는 사회적 상황인 정보사회로의 이행에 영향을 받아 미술에 있어서도 새로운 개념을 필요로 하고 있다는 생각이 들었다. 그래서 본인의 논문은 주관적인 시점에서 바라 본 인터넷의 공간과 그것에 반응하고 있는 현실세계의 변화들에 대한 견해로 이루어져 있다. 즉 20세기말과 21세기를 겪으며 사회와 우리들의 삶에 대해 느끼는 것들을 본 논문에서 이야기하고자 했으며, 이러한 모든 것들이 작업을 행하는 본인의 시각 안에 포함된 것임을 밝히고자 했다. 이러한 상황 속에서 본인은 현재를 가치와 질서가 새롭게 형성되는 시기라고 보면서 예술의 의미가 문화 속에서 삶의 영역과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다는 태도를 작업에 적용시키고자 하였다. 그래서 이러한 해석의 유도를 위하여 인터넷 공간이 가지고 있는 속성을 파악하고자 시뮬라시옹 이론을 탐구했고 이를 작업에 적용하였다. 그리고 이것을 표현하기 위한 방법으로, 컴퓨터 작업과 디지털 프린팅, 설치, EL 등 다양한 재료들을 사용하여 다의적 해석을 유도하는 폭넓은 전시 공간을 제시하고 이를 통해 관람자들이 독특한 체험을 유발할 수 있도록 연구했다. 또한 저급한 것으로 취급되는 비닐을 작품의 재료로 사용하여, 인터넷을 통해 거침없는 짙은 개성으로 자신을 표현해 나가는 현대인들의 한 단면을 담아내고자 했다. 그리고 작업에서 제시되어진 공간은 내부와 외부에 대한 구분이 모호하며, 전체적으로 선으로서 구획을 짓고 있지만 동시에 공간의 확장을 가져오도록 하였다. 그래서 평면이면서도 공간 전체를 아우르는 입체임과 동시에 하나의 허상을 제시하기도 하고, 실제 존재하는 공간과 그 관계가 모호한 설치물을 제시하여 본인이 생각하는 가상적, 상징적 공간을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 제작 논문으로, 대상에 대한 다의적 해석을 유도하고 본인의 입장을 타당하게 밝히기 위해 시뮬라시옹으로 이루어진 인터넷 구조에서는 이론적 개념들을 살펴보았고, On line_Off line에서는 가상공간과 가상 현실 등 다중 감각적 경험의 참여를 유도하는 작가들을 참고하여 본인의 작품 전개 방식과 연관시켜 보고자 했다. 그리고 그 결과로서 나타난 본인 작업의 특성들을 분석하여 설명하고자 했다. 마지막으로 본인의 작품을 제시 분석해 봄으로써 앞으로의 전개 방향을 모색하는 발판으로 삼고자 하였다.;My art will reveal the current time situation as a modeling language. Born in a metropolitan city Seoul, I've been experiencing various and fast change of urban civilization and this background of my upbringing becomes a main foundation of my work. Especially, affected by rapidly changing information society, I think we need a new concept in art. So, my study is composed of the internet space looked in my personal point of view and my opinion of changes of real world. That is, I try to describe what I feel about our society and life in the 21st century, and all this is included in my vision of work. In this situation, I consider the present time as the time of a new value and order, and try to apply my attitude toward that the meaning of art is closely related to the scope of life in culture to my work. For this translation, I study on the theory of simulation to find out the attributes of the internet space, and apply this to my work. It is because this generation itself has complex meaning. So, as a method of expression, I suggest broad space of exhibition by using various materials such as computer works, digital printing, EL and installation, and it is aimed at letting viewers have unique experience. Also, using a vinyl is intented to let viewers express their complex opinion of the image of modern people. And, The space suggested in this work has vague in its division of the interior and exterior, and it is to bring the expansion of space. Therefore, this plane space is a cubic one that covers the entire space, suggesting a virtual image, and the establishment of an object, vaguely related to really existing space suggests virtual and imaginary space. This paper is written for creating work, and it is aimed at inducing various kinds of translation of the subject. It examines a theoretical concept composed of simulation in the structure of the internet, and I try to connect my work with artists who introduce multi-sentimental experience on line and off line including virtual space and virtual reality.
