묵에 의한 도시 이미지의 조형 표현

Abstract

오늘날의 회화는 대상을 재현하기 보다는 주관적인 내면을 반영하는데에 그 본질적인 의미를 두고 있다. 따라서 예술가들은 다양한 주제를 내면 심리에 의거한 독창적인 표현 방법을 통하여 자신의 주관적 세계를 표현하고 있는 것이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 도시 풍경에서 받은 인상을 주제로 하여 이것을 墨이라는 매재를 통해 현대적 조형 감각으로 표현하고자 다양한 조형적 시도를 해 봄으로써 주관적인 화면을 형성하려 한다. 작가는 작품을 제작함에 있어 자신의 내면을 표현할 수 있는 좀 더 의미있고 가치있는 표현성을 추구하고자 한다. 그러므로 재현과 구분되는 표현의 의미를 생각해 보는 것은 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 예술 작품의 표현성에 대해 알아보고 그것을 바탕으로 하여 묵을 통한 다양한 표현 방법에 의해 현대적 조형미가 나타나는 수묵의 특성을 알아보고자 수묵의 사의성을 중요시하는 수묵의 본질에서 정신성을 찾고 수묵의 조형성을 재료적인 특성과 우연성을 통해 살펴 보았다. 이러한 이론적 근거를 제시하여 묵의 조형적 표현을 위한 방법적 연구로서 본인이 소재로 선택한 도시 풍경의 이미지를 현대적 공간 구성으로 표현하고자 묵에 의한 공간 분할과 선과 여백을 이용하여 나타냈다. 또한 화면의 구성에서 객관적인 대상을 주관적인 시각에 의해 바라보고 다양한 표현 방식을 시도하여 개성있는 조형 공간을 표현하려고 하였으며 발묵에 의한 화면의 재구성을 시도하여 수묵이 아니고서는 표현할 수 없는 독특한 도시의 서정을 표현하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 과정을 통하여 본인은 자기 작품을 객관적 입장에서 분석하고 모색해 봄으로써 앞으로의 작업 방향에 발전적인 도움을 받고자 한다.;Painting of today places its essential meaning on the reflection of the subjective insight rather than on the representation of the object itself. Therefore, artist express subjective world of their own based on the insight meaning of various objects employing their own creative way of expression. In this thesis, it is attempted to form subjective pictures based on the subject obtained from the impressions of the city scenes by using the expression material of "Chinese Ink" in modern formative sense applying various formative models. Artists, in the process of works, pursue the more meaningful and worthwhile expression that reveal their own insights. Therefore it is important to consider the meaning of expression which is different from the simple representation. In this thesis, various techniques and characteristics of "Water - Chines Ink" in expressing modern formative beauty are surveyed. The relation between the essense of "Water - Chinese Ink" and the characteristics and fortuity of material is considered. With the background of the survey and the consideration, the author expressed the images of the city scene employing space partition, lines and blank spaces using "Chinese Ink" as a study of utilizing formative characteristics of expression with "Chinese Ink". In this work, the author attempted to view the objective scene in the subjectively in the frame of the picture, and tried to express a formative space with a character using various expression techniques. The author attempted to reframe the picture at the onset with "Chinese Ink", and tried to express the unique emotion and feeling of city that can be expressed only with "Water-Chinese Ink".
