道釋人物畵의 硏究

Abstract

東洋畵의 일부분인 道釋人物畵는 人物畵에 있어서 藝術性이 가장 특이한 繪畵藝術의 일종이라 하겠다. 本 論文의 內容은 道釋人物畵의 發生問題와 時代的 變化過程을 살펴 보았으며 특히 佛敎流入이후에 中國 八文社會思想과 水墨의 發展으로 인한 道釋人物畵의 發生 그리고 老ㆍ莊子의 自然主義思想에 의해 知識人들이 隱逸思想 속에서 道釋人物畵가 發生하게 된 원인에 대해서 언급하였다. 또한 道釋人物畵가 西洋繪畵史에 미친 影響을 살펴 보았으며 道釋人物畵의 精神은 東洋繪畵史의 긍극적 精神인 外形의 形象에 의하여 人間의 形象을 表現하는 天人合一의 精神이라 하겠다. 本 論을 전개함에 있어서 道釋人物畵의 범위가 매우 넓음으로 發生에서 부터 唐ㆍ宋代까지의 發達過程만 언급하였다. 唐代의 道釋人物畵는 初期와 中期, 末期로 나누어 설명할 수 있는데 특히 中唐時代의 吳道子를 중심으로 道釋人物畵가 급격히 發展하여 末期에 이르러서는 道敎의 神仙畵, 佛敎계통의 羅漢像, 達磨像, 觀菩像등이 佛敎思想과 合一하여 매우 人間的으로 表現하기 시작하였다. 또 道釋人物畵는 五代와 宋초기에 이르러 高僧 貫休가 南쪽 佛敎계통의 色彩道釋人物畵를 그리기 시작하여 高僧들의 肖像畵가 盛行한 것도 이 時期의 道釋人物畵의 특징이라고 할 수 있다. 宋代의 道釋人物畵는 禪畵의 發達로 많은 禪僧畵家들이 出現하였는데 예를 들면 牧谿ㆍ梁楷 ㆍ玉潤등이다. 특히 梁楷는 人間을 가장 풍자적으로 表現하여 초일한 人間과 속세의 人間을 비교하였으며 人間의 內的精神을 가장 잘 表現하였다. 道釋人物畵의 畵法에 있어서는 水墨畵法과 白描畵法이 있는데 白描畵法이란 唐 吳道子로 부터 시작하여 宋의 李公麟에 이르러 최고로 發展하였다. 이와 같이 道釋人物畵의 發生과 變化, 發展 및 道釋人物畵의 畵法등에 論述한 內容이 本 論의 요지다.;Morality Gautama Portrait is so called a kind of the particular painting art as a part of the figure paintings of the oriental painting. In this thesis, reviewed the matters on generating problems and periodic changing process. Particularly mentioned about social thought of Chinese cultural sciences after inflow of the Buddhism and the reason of the generation of the morality Gautama Portrait during the concealing thought of knowledges along with the thought of naturalism of the Lao-Jang-Tzu. Also reviewed on the influences to the oriental painting history by the morality Gautama portrait. Anther words, the spirit of morality Gautama portrait is the spirit of God and man union that expresses the figure of the human being through the external form which is the final spirit. In main issue, refered to the improving processes of the morality Gautama portrait since the generation until the epoch of the Tang and Song as the scope of the morality Gautama portrait is very wide. The essentials of the contents described in this thesis is the generation of morality Gautama portrait and the changed improvement as well as art of drawing of the morality Gautama portrait.
