인체 형상을 통한 신화의 상징성 연구

Abstract

현대 미술의 경향은 빠른 속도로 변모해 가며 오늘에 이르고 있다. 그 흐름을 살펴보면 여러 이즘이 각양각색의 특성을 나타내며 변화하는 속에는 공통적으로 작가 특유의 내면적인 세계를 나타내는 상징적 표상, 문화적 이데올로기 등과 유기적인 관련을 맺고 있다는 점을 고려할 필요가 있다. 즉, 볼 수 있는 시각의 형상과 읽혀질 수 있는 언어의 상이 어떻게 결합될 수 있는가를 추구하는 것이 현대 예술의 과제라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문의 이론적 배경으로는 다양한 문화 속에서 인간에 의해 창조된 상징표현의 산물인 언어와 신화의 상징형식을 분석함과 동시에 예술표현에서 나타난 상징성을 통해 인간의 내면세계를 중시하는 상징 구조의 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 상징은 세계인식의 최초의 시도이며 초기의 미적 환상의 형식을 가능하게 하는 정신의 특수한 통일체이다. 그러므로 신화적 전통이나 주술 속의 신성한 침묵의 개념들은 상징이 아니면 표현해 낼 수 없다. 원시 시대에는 주술적인 신앙의 대상이나 공격의 대상을 상징화하였고 현대에 와서는 상징이 인간과 인간 사이에 의미를 전달하는 기능적인 역할을 수행하게 되었다. 상징은 많은 것을 생략하고 감추어진 형태로서 나타나지만 많은 내용을 함축하고 있으며, 함축된 모든 내용을 더 강하게 전달한다. 특히 예술작품을 통해서 상징화할 수 있는 주제는 수없이 많다. 본인은 신화의 상상력 속에서 참되고 의미 있는 세계를 찾아보고자 한다. 방법적인 연구에 있어서는 신화의 상징적 개념을 중시하여 상징 형식을 분석함과 동시에 이러한 상징성의 의미를 시각화하여 보았다. 본인은 인체 형상을 통하여 나무의 생명력, 대지와 여성과의 신비적인 연관 관계 등을 상징적으로 표현해 보았다.;The lapse into modern art has been changing rapidly up to this day. Showing different characteristics, a variety of isms have appeared during the change in Modern art. Although each ism has its own characteristic, they all relate organically to cultural ideology and the symbolic feature showing the artist's own internal view. It may be said that the task of modern art is how to combine the visual form and linguistic form appropriately. Therefore, as a theoretical background for this paper, I looked into the characteristics of the symbolic structure which takes serious view of one's own internal view by expressing them artistically. At the same time, I also looked into language and the mythical symbolism which have been created by man in various kinds of culture. Symbolism, the first attempt to recognition of this world and it is also a special mental unity which makes early aesthetic formality possible. So without symbolism it is impossible to express mythical tradition or sacred concept of reticence in incantation. In the primitive age, objects of incantation and objects of attack were symbolized. And today, symbolism play an important role in transmitting significance to each other. Symbolism is indicated in a form of concealment and omission but it implies many substances and transmits the implied substances more powerfully. Especially in art, there are numerous kind of themes you can symbolize. I try to find a true and meaningful world through mythical imagination. In the method of research, I focused on the symbolic concept of mythology. As well as visualizing the symbolic meaning I also analyzed the symbolic form through human figure. I tried to express themes, such as the liveliness of trees or the mystic relation between earth and women, symbolically.
