커뮤니케이숀 관점에서 본 '80년대 한국창작무용

Abstract

This thesis has made known, on the premise that dancing art would be progressed through the circulation of communication, that the contents reflecting sociality at the time of theme selection should be desirable and the expressive intent should also be clear as well as accurate in order to materialize effective communication. On such a foundation, it has examined on how effectively creative dance of Korea in the 80th that has brought in quantitative and qualitative swelling would have achieved the communication. In the Chapter Ⅰ and the Chapter Ⅱ, the viewpoint and the significance of communication in terms of the dancing art were explained with laying stress on the theory of K. Anderson, and when the expressive intent of producer selected a clear theme reflecting a sociality through bibliographic studies, then, it has made clear that effective communication would be attained. Coupled with this point, a brief description was made on the current situation of the dancing world in the 80th surrounding the dancing world in the Republic of Korea, In the Chapter Ⅲ, a series of examinations were conducted on the expressive intent of choreographer for the entries into dancing festivals held Curing the period of commencing from the year of '80 to 68 through news coverage, and another survey was attempted from the standpoint of reality, the spot- actuality and progressiveness which could be critical evidence in terms of historical science on how far the sociality was taken into consideration in the clearness of expressive intention and the selection of theme by observing through the comments on the objective response of critic. As the result of survey, a conspicuous difference was exposed between the expressive intention of choreographer and the response of audience, and even i n the selection of theme, the dancing entries that would represent t h e sentiment of each individual choreographer was revealed to be prominent. Although a several entries that reflected the sociality were taken into consideration, by expressing the position of choreographer himself or herself, it could not have been reached a consideration up to the extent of progressiveness that would bring the change with a firm and objectivized message which might be able to present a new direction. Therefore, it may as well be viewed that it is the high time to emboss a sufficient function as an art through a series of interchanges with the society from the viewpoint of communication for the dancing world of Korea that has attempted to carry out the qua1itative and quantitative development during the past period, not self- satisfactory and a sort of coopingup-like stage henceforth in this particular regard.;본 논문은 무용예술이 커뮤니케이숀의 제과정의 순환을 통하여 발전되어감을 전제로 하였으며, 효과적인 커뮤니케이숀을 이루기위해 표현의도가 명확해야함과, 주제선정에 있어서 창작자와 관객의 공통적 체험의 장이 될 수 있는 사회성이 반영된 내용이 바람직함을 피력하였다. 이러한 기반 위에 양적, 질적 팽창을 가져온 80년대 한국창작무용이 얼마만큼 효과적인 커뮤니케이숀을 이루었는지 살펴보고자 하였다. Ⅰ, Ⅱ장에서는 K.앤더슨(Kenneth Anderson)의 무용예술의 커뮤니케이숀론을 중심으로 무용예술의 커뮤니케이숀 관점과 의의를 설명하였고, 효과적으로 커뮤니케이숀을 이루기 위한 조건으로서 창작자의 표현의도가 명확하고 주제선정에 있어서 사회성이 반영된 작품이어야 함을 문헌연구를 통해 피력하였다. 이와 함께 대한민국 무용제를 둘러싼 '80년대 한국무용계의 현황을 간단히 약술코자 하였다. 이어 Ⅲ장에서는 80년부터 88년까지 대한민국 무용제에 출품된 작품(2회∼10회)에 대해 안무가의 표현의도가 무엇이었는지 취재를 통해 알아보고, 동시에 작품을 주의 깊게, 또 비판자로서 바라보고 기록한 관객인 평론가의 반응을 평문을 통해 살펴봄으로써 안무자의 표현의도가 얼마나 잘 드러났는지를 그리고 주제선정에 있어서 사회성이 얼마나 고려 되었는지를 역사학적 비평준거가 되는 현실성, 현장성, 진보성의 측면에서 살펴 보고자 했다. 그 결과 안무자의 표현의도와 관객과의 반응 사이에는 현격한 차이가 드러났고, 주제선정에 있어서도 사회성이 반영된 작품보다 안무자 개인의 감정을 나타낸 작품들이 두드러졌다. 사회성이 반영된 몇 작품에서도 현실성과 현장성은 고려 되었으나 관객에게 안무자 자신의 입장을 피력하여 새로운 방향을 제시해 주거나 그에 대한 긍정, 부정을 나타낼 수 있을 정도의 확고하고 객관화된 메시지로 변화를 가져오는 진보성의 측면까지는 고려되지 못하였다. 따라서 그동안 양적, 질적 발전을 꾀한 한국무용제가 이제는 자족적이고 폐쇄적인 무대가 아닌, 즉 커뮤니케이숀의 관점에서 사회와의 "교류"를 통해 예술로서의 충분한 기능을 부각시켜야 할 때라고 본다.
