도시부부의 역할관계에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 도시 부부의 역할관계 즉 어떤 역할이 누구에 의해 수행되기를 바라는가 하는 부부 각각의 역할기대, 가정내에서 주부가 수행하고 있는 여러 역할에 대해 부인자신과 남편이 어느정도로 중요하게 생각하고 있는가의 역할중요도 인식, 주부의 가정내 역할수행에 대한 부인자신과 남편으로 부터의 역할수행 평가도는 전반적으로 어떤 경향을 나타내며, 역할관계 영역에 있어 취업주부의 가정과 비취업주부의 가정간에는 어떤 차이가 있는지를 밝혀보았다. 또한 연령, 교육수준, 결혼연수와 같은 관련변인 부부 각각의 역할기대, 역할 중요도 인식에 미칠 수 있는 영향에 대해서도 밝혀보았다. 연구대상은 서울시에 거주하는 부부 176쌍( 352명 )이었으며 질문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 분석기법으로는 t-test와 일원변량분석을 사용 하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 중요한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1-1. 부부 각각의 역할기대는, 부부 모두 남편은 생계담당자의 역할을, 부인은 가사활동과 유아의 양육을 담당해야 한다고 기대하고 있었다. 그 외, 여가활동, 아동기자녀의 교육, 청년기자녀의 사회화, 경제활동에 대한 역할영역은 대체로 부부공동의 역할로 기대하고 있었다. 1-2. 비취업주부 가정의 부부가 취업주부 가정의 부부보다 좀 더 전형적인 성역할 구분 태도를 보여주고 있었다. 한편, 취업주부 가정의 부부간에는 생계비 담당(P<.01), 경제활동(P<.01)에서 역할기대의 차이가 나타났지만, 비취업주부 가정의 부부간에는 역할기대면에서 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 2-1. 부부 각각의 역할중요도 인식을, 부부 모두 어머니 역할에 대한 중요도가 가장 높았으며 대외활동에 대한 중요도가 가장 낮았다. 2-2. 비취업주부 가정의 부부가 취업주부 가정의 부부보다, 가사활동 영역을 더 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 그렇지만 두 집단의 부부간에는 역할중요도 인식에서, 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 3-1. 주부의 가정내 역할수행 평가도는, 부인자신의 평가보다 남편으로부터의 평가가 더 높았다. 또한 역할수행 정도는 역할중요도 인식과 대체로 비슷한 양상을 보여, 중요도가 높은 역할 영역에 대해서 수행의 정도가 높게 나타났다. 3-2. 가정내 주부의 역할수행 평가도에 있어, 취업주부 자신의 평가도가 비취업주부보다 뚜렷하게 낮았다. 그러나 남편의 평가도간에는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 한편, 취업주부 가정의 부부간에는 역할수행 평가도에 유의한 차이가 나타나 남편의 평가에 비해 취업주부자신의 평가도가 훨씬 낮았다. 그러나 비취업주부 가정의 부부간에는 대체로 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 4. 중요도 인식이 높은 역할항목에 대한 수행의 정도는, 부인자신의 평가도에서는 비취업주부가 더 잘 수행하고 있었으며, 남편에 의한 평가도에는 유익한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 5. 연령, 교육수준, 결혼연수와 같은 관련변인은 부부의 역할기대, 역할중요도 인식에 부분적으로 영향을 미치고 있었다.;The Purpose of the study is to examine marital role relationship : role expectation, the evaluation of role performance, role salience perception. And it is to investigate the difference between dual career family and career family. This study is also to examine the effect of age level, education level and marital period on relations of role expectation and role salience perception. The subjects are composed of 176 married couples who live in Seoul. Questionnaire method is carried out for collection data. For data analysis, t-test, one way ANOVA are performed. The major findings are as follows : 1-1. Most of all, wives and husbands expect these. a. Wife's role is housekeeper role and infant care role b. Husband's role is provider role. c. wife and husband's coperative role is leisure activity, economic ectivity, child care role, child Socialization role. 1-2. House wives are more stereotyped sex role attitude than employed wires and husbands are as well. 2-1. Most of all, wives and husbands think mother role is the most important and Social role the least. 2-2. There is no significant difference in their role Salience perception between wives and husbands in both group. 3-1. Husband's evaluation of role performance level is higher than wives self evaluation on wives role performance. 3-2 Employed wives self evaluation of role performance level is significantly lower than housewives'. But both group of husbands' evaluation have no significant difference. 4. In wives' evaluation, items, performance level is this a. In high role perception items, house wires' is higher than employed wives'. b. In husbands' evaluation, there is no significant difference 5. Age level, education level and marital period partly influence of role expectation and role salience perception.
