조선시대 창살의 조형미를 응용한 타피스트리

Abstract

한국의 예술을 잘 표현한 것 중의 하나로는 목조건축이 있는데 이 건축에서 한국의 멋을 가장 잘 나타낸 부분 중의 하나가 창살이다. 오늘날의 예술표현은 창조적 인간의 심리표출이다. 현대 섬유예술은 과거의 공예적 차원에서 벗어나 조형의 순수성 확립과 다양한 표현형태로 많은 변화와 발전을 이룩하였다. 본 논문은 조선시대 창살의 아름다운 조형미를 살펴보며 그 이미지를 현대적 섬유작품에 반영하여 전통적 유물의 가치를 현대적으로 표현하고자 하는데 연구목적을 두었다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로는 조선시대의 창살을 살펴보고 그것을 기하학적 형태의 시각으로 분석하였으며, 또한 섬유예술에 있어서의 기하학적 형태를 전통적인 인디언 직물과 바우하우스부터 최근에 이르기까지 직조작품을 통해서 조사 분석하였다. 그리고 본 연구자는 창살의 기하학적 형태에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 5점의 작품제작을 통해서 분석하였다.;Among those which Korean art is well expressed, we can adduce wooden architecture, and in this pattern of architecture it is a latticework that bespeaks the best of Korean aroma above all. The artistic expression of today certainly lies in the psychological manifestation by creative human being. Contemporary 'fiber art', casting off polytechnic dimension in the past, has achieved a great deal of variation and progress toward the establishment of formative pureness as well as a variety of expressive forms. The object of this is aimed at expressing contemporaneously the value of traditional relics by reflecting the image on modern fiber works through a series of close observation upon the noble formative beauty of the Yi Dynasty's lattice works. As for the vital background for this representation, an analysis has been made on placing it in the form of geometric means through taking a look at the lattices of the Yi Dynasty in parallel with conducting an examination on the geometric form 'Bauhas' to modern tapestry works in terms of fiber art. Therefore, this researcher has made and analyzed five pieces of works on the basis of the recognition about the geometric form of the latticework. As described herein, the traditional art of our people may as well be created with our own device to be able to appropriately correspond with the consciousness of the times today, and it is also able to present immeasurable possibility in the expressive mode of modern fiber art as to reassemble them.
