현대사회의 소통에 관한 이미지

Abstract

The world today is characterized by a state of pluralism. The individual society has defined modern culture of the masses and as a result, the development of the means of modern production has converted this culture into a culture of duplication. The image of duplication brought about a confusion in the visual aspect of people. A lot of the visual information available prioritized subjects that were more materialistic relative to those that were more human. As a result, this information changed the relationship between people and brought forth self-isolation. The overabundance of messages, in fact, changed the characteristics of art as well. Artists cannot avoid society. Art reflects the society's culture and reflect upon their lifelong experiences. This is because art is a part of the “social culture ”. Pop art, which attempted to combine ordinary life and art, utilized mass media to strive for communication with the general public. Pop art suggest a new aspect of reproduction by combining ordinary and art duplication the real world. In addition, based on the pluralistic nature of the modern society, I want to represent the definition of reality and human existence through communication, duplication, and replication using external images. Finally, this submission will dictate the future direction of the work.;오늘날 세계는 다원주의(Pluralism)의 상태로 존재한다. 80년대이후 세계미술은 절대적 미(美)나 가치를 전제로 하지않고 여러매체나 방법을 다양하게 수용하는 경향을 보여주였으며, 정치·사회·경제적으로도 수직적인 위계질서보다 수평적인 다양성을 중시하는 변화된 대중사회적 측면이 두드러졌다. 현대는 산업사회와 물질문명 속에서 대량생산과 과학기술의 발달로 특이한 대중문화를 형성하였다. 정보매체의 발달은 컴퓨터까지 등장시켜 첨단 정보사회를 실현시키고 인간 중심적이라기 보다는 물질을 우선시하는 상황을 만들었다. 대중매체의 발달로 인한 복제이미지의 홍수는 시각의 혼동과 함께 메세지의 과잉상태를 일으켜 인간끼리의 관계, 더욱이 예술의 성격마저도 변화시키고 말았다. 예술가들은 작품내에서 변화된 사회에 대한 인식을 새롭게 표현해야만 하게 되었다. 예술은 어느 시대나 사회적 가치를 지니고 그 시대의 사회적 특징을 예술가의 삶과 경험을 바탕으로 이미지로 투영되고 그려진다. 일상적인 삶과 예술의 결합을 시도한 팝 아트는 이미지의 교환 가치를 예술에 끌어들임으로써 교양계급의 전위물로써 예술에서 이를 대중화시키는데 크게 기여했다. 그것은 대량생산을 가능하게 만든 사회속에서 현대인들이 소모품들과 생활하면서 자신의 가치를 사물에 의해 인식하게 만들었다. 이에 본인은 현대의 상황속에서 전개되는 다원주의적인 양식을 바탕으로 표피적인 소통을 추구하는 현대인의 모습을 복제와 반복, 그리고 집적의 방법을 이용하여 본인 나름의 이미지로 나타내 보고자 한다. 외부 이미지를 통하여 소통하는 현대인의 모습-이를 어떻게 그림으로 나타내야 하는가를 주제로 하고 이미지의 기호적인 성격과 상징성, 그리고 표현방법을 토대로 본 논문을 구성하였다. 마지막으로 본인의 작품을 제시, 분석하여 앞으로 나아갈 바를 모색해 보고자 한다.
