自我表現을 위한 人物畵의 方法的 硏究

Abstract

예술이란 자아를 둘러싼 외적세계와 자신의 生에 대한 내면의식의 미적 표현이라 할 수 있다. 또한 자아의 인식은 예술활동의 선행요건이고 예술관 확립의 기본과정이다. 사회적 상호작용을 통해 형성되는 자아는 인간행동의 중심이 된다. 그리나 급속도의 변화와 부조리한 상황의 현대사회 속에서 인간존재의 가치와 의미를 잃어 가는 현대인에게 있어서 올바른 자아인식의 부재는 커다란 문제로 대두되고 있다. 후기산업사회, 정보사회라는 현실적 환경 하에서 인간의 존립은 바로 순수예술의 존립과 일맥상통 한다고 보며 현대예술로서의 자아표현의 중요성은 인간존재의 가치를 환기시키는 역할을 한다. 자아표현의 형식으로 근대로부터 발전된 추상회화는 조형미 추구의 한계성으로 인하여 일반대중과의 의사소통이 차단되어 결국 예술을 위한 예술이 되었다. 그러므로 시대적, 사회적 상황의 관련성을 갖는 예술가의 자아표현이 대중과의 공감대를 형성할 수 있다고 보는 입장에서 작업에 임하였으며 구상적으로 호소하는 자아표현의 방법으로, 인물을 사실적으로 표현하고 내용을 水墨의 發墨효과을 강조하여 형상화 하였다. 본 논문은 본인 작업의 체계적인 방법모색을 위하여, 현대사회와 자아에 대한 개괄적 고찰을 내용적 연구로 다루고, 朝鮮時代 後期의 근대적 시대상황속에서 유입된 서구의 陰影法을 전통화법에 도입시킨 肖像畵法의 사실적 표현을 방법적 연구로서 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 水墨의 심오한 멋과 뜻이 반영하는 상징성 이론과 發墨에 대한 기법적 효과를 조명해 보고, 사실적으로 묘사된 인물과 水墨의 번짐이 조화를 이루는 표현방법에 대해 작품을 통하여 연구하고자 한다. 작품분석에서는 본인이 작품으로 전달하고자 하는 의도와 내용표현에 사용한 방법을 분석, 검토해 봄으로써 자기반성과 함께 앞으로의 창작 활동에 대한 가치관의 설정과 재정립의 계기가 되고자 한다.;Fine art Can be said to be an expression of intrinsic perception on the artist's own life. Intrinsic perception on oneself is core of human activities and prerequisite for art works. However, rapid and marked social changes (development?) have made people recognize less about the value of existing human beings. Without perception on oneself, there could not be any recognition on the value of people themselves and people live passively overwhelmed by the changing society. In the view that right way of life is to overcome and try to correct the present problems actively, the author believe that the role of art should be to refresh people's recognition on the value of human beings in our society by expressing the perception on oneself. When the artists concentrate on the formative beauty, not considering people's empathy, art could only for other artists. Therefore, the author tried to evoke people's empathy by expressing the author's own perception related with the present social environment. For the method of expression, realistic personal figures appear within an background painted by the spreading effect of India ink. The backgrounds indicate the abstraction of perception on oneself. In this thesis, the relationship between the present social conditions and the people's emotion was studied further for the contents of the author's art pieces. For the author's technical research, portrait of the late Yi dynasty which introduced shading effect of western paintings was studied in detail. The symbolizing effect and the spreading effect of India ink were applied for the realistic personal figures and backgrounds respectively. In the analysis chapter, combination between the author's intention of expression and the method of expression was examined. This procedure provided the author with the chance of reflection of life and the direction of future works.
