人間形象을 통한 現代人의 疏外意識 表現

Abstract

인간의 존재가 사회적 상황을 떠나서는 무의미하듯이 예술가 또한 그 시대 사회적 조건에 영향을 받을 수밖에 없다. 진정한 예술이란 이러한 사회적 상황을 외면하지 않고 현실을 인식하여 새로운 현실의 돌파구를 제시해 보이는 것이어야 한다고 본다. 따라서 본인의 시각은 인간과 사회의 문제, 즉 오늘의 현실을 살아가고 있는 현대인의 모습에 근거하게 되었다. 자연 과학과 공업기술의 발전은 대량 생산의 경제체제를 가져왔고 이러한 현대문명의 발전은 인간의 정신성 추구와는 상관없이 인간을 기계화·도구화하게 되었다. 이러한 상황에서 현대화는 '인간성 不在'라는 커다란 문제를 낳게 되었다. 이에 본인은 현대 사회 속에서의 인간성 상실과 소외의 문제들을 인간 형상을 통해 표현함으로써 인간 존재의 문제를 환기시키고자 하였다. 인간 형상은 단순한 인체의 표현이 아니라 한 시대의 전반적인 인간 정신 상황의 반영일 수 있으므로 사실적 기법에 의한 단순한 재현의 차원이 아닌 보다 근원적 인간의 문제, 즉 '인간성 상실'에 따른 '인간소외'의 문제를 반영함으로써 인간성 회복에 대한 각성을 제시하고자 하였던 것이다. 그런 의미에서 본 논문은 내용적 연구와 방법적 연구로 나누어서 고찰해 보았는데, 내용적 연구에서 물질만을 추구하는 현대사회 속에서 인간이 어떻게 자신의 존재를 상실해 가고 있는가와 회화 속에서 표현되는 인간 형상은 어떠한 의미를 담고 있는지를 살펴보고, 더불어 현대문명의 제도적 억압과 인간성 상실, 소외의 문제를 표현함으로써 공동체 의식의 형성, 인간성 회복이라는 과제를 환기시키고자 했던 신구상 회화의 실존적 조형의지를 해석함으로써 본인의 작품세계의 이론적 기반을 확고히 하고자 하였다. 그리고 방법적 연구에 있어서는 인간형상과 같은 구체적 형상들을 통해 사실적 표현을 추구하였던 본인의 의도와 뜻을 찾고, 배경에 나타나는 구체적 형상들이 가진 상징성의 의미에 대해 고찰해 봄으로써 본인의 작업에 대한 반성과 새로운 작업의 가능성을 모색해 보고자 하였다.;As the existence of human beings is meaningless if it parts from the social situation, artist cannot help being influenced by the social condition of the society also. This researcher thinks that true artist must present the breakthrough of new actuality by recognizing the actuality without turning away this social situation. Thus, my vision came to be based on the question of human beings and society. that is, the form of moderns who lead the life of actuality. The development of natural science and technology brought the economy system of mass production, and this development of modem civilization came to make the human beings into machine and implement regardless of the pursuit of human spirituality. In this situation. modernization came to result in the big problem. 'humanity absence'. So, I tried to arouse the question of human existence. by expressing the questions of humanity loss and alienation in modem society through human form. As the human form is not simple human body expression but it may be the reflection of whole human spirit situation of one time, this researcher tried to suggest the awakenings about humanity restoration by reflecting more original human question, that is, the question of human alienation attendant upon humanity alienation which is not the simple reproduction dimension by the realistic technique. In this study, in such meaning, this researcher tried to study by classifying into contents study and methodological method. Then in the study of contents, this researcher examined how human beings are losing the existence of themselves in the modern society to seek only material and which meaning the human form to be expressed in painting is including. and, with it, this researcher tried to secure the theoretical basis of my work world by interpreting the existential moulding will of neo-concret painting which tried to arouse the questions which are the formation of community consciousness and the restoration of humanity through expressing the questions of institutional oppression of modem civilization, human loss and alienation. And, in the methodological study, this researcher found my intention and will which sought the realistic expression through the concrete forms like human form, and tried to grope for the self-examination about my work and the possibility of new work by trying to study about the meaning of symbolical nature that the concrete forms which appear in background have.
