Scheler, M. 의 철학적 인간학에 나타난 신체의 의미

Abstract

살아있는 모든 생명체는 움직인다. 또한 인간움직임은 다른 동물과 비교될 수 있는 것이며 인간의 신체는 기계적이거나 물리적인 대상 이상의 의미를 가지고 있다. 그러나 전통적인 경험주의 과학에서 인간은 대상적으로 관찰되고 인식되는 존재로 이해되었으며 인간의 신체 또한 움직이는 기계와 같은 대상으로 파악되었다. 이러한 신체 자체는 인간의 전체적인 이해가 아니라 부분적인 이해를 의미하는 것이다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해서 Scheler, M. 는 신체의 이해에 대한 새로운 가능성을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 목적은 Scheler, M. 의 철학적 인간학을 기초로하여 체육학에 적용가능한 신체와 인간움직임의 의미를 이해하는 것이다. Scheler, M. 는 현대의 철학적 인간학의 창시자이며 그의 저서 『우주에서의 인간의 지위』는 인간본질에 대한 새로운 견해를 함축하고 있다. Scheler, M. 는 인간존재의 본질을 이해하기 위하여 성층적 단계 가운데 정신적 단계에서 신체와 정신의 상호작용을 강조하였다. 즉 인간의 신체는 정신적 원리에 참여하고 정신은 신체로부터 힘을 얻어 제 작용을 할 수 있다. 그러므로 그가 분류한 전통적 세 인간유형에 대하여 새로운 원리를 가진 전체적인 인간이해를 시도하였다. 인간의 신체 자체는 정신과 분리하여 이해할 수 없는 정신과 합일된 단계에 있으므로 정신의 특성과 합일된 특수화된 신체이다. Scheler, M. 의 주요저서<우주에서의 인간의 지위>를 중심으로 분석한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, Scheler, M. 는 다른 동물과 구별될 수 있는 인간존재의 본질을 생물학적 단계가 아닌 정신적 단계에서 찾고 있다. 둘째, 인간의 신체와 정신은 상호역동적인 관계에서 분리될 수 없는 전체적인 하나의 구조를 이룬다. 셋째, 인간의 신체는 정신의 특성과 합일된 특수화된 신체이며 정신적 단계의 신체이다. 넷째, 체육학에 있어서 신체는 기계적, 물리적 대상이 아니라 '단순한 삶'이상의 '잘 사는 삶'에 참여하고 있다. 그러므로 체육학의 연구대상은 <전인>, <정신적 존재>를 위하여 자아향상을 추구하는 인간 움직임에 있다. 자아향상은 현실을 부정할 수 있는 정신적 특성이며 체육, 스포츠에서의 신체와 움직임은 유희적 특성을가진비현실적인 세계를 확장할 수 있다. 그러므로 Scheler, M. 는 정신적 존재로서의 인간이해를 바탕으로 객관적으로 대상화된 신체를 부정하며, 세계에 참여하여 자아향상을 가능하게 하는 신체의 인간학적 토대를 제공하였다.;All living thing is moving. Human movement compared with other living animals is something different. Human body has the meaning more than an objective fact such as mechanical or physical aspect. But human was traditionally interpreted and understood as a being objectively observed and percieved in the empirical science. The body is also regarded as a machine. They understood the human body as a separate part of whole not as a total person itself. To overcome these limits, Max Scheler suggested new horizion about the reality of body based on the meaning of 'Geist(mind)'. The purpose of this study is to understand and verify the meaning of body and human movement based on the theory of Max Scheler's Philosophical Anthropology. Max Scheler was considered the pioneer of modern philosophical anthropology. "Die Stelsung des Menschen im Kosmos" written in the 1928, was known as the last work in his life has attempted to show new implication of the reality and essence of human beings. To understand the reality and substance of human beings, he emphasized embodieed mutural relationship of body and 'Geist' in the spiritual stage which was belonging to the stratification stages. In other words, the human body was associated with a principle of 'Geist' which was taken energies from the body to be work out. He indicated a new Geist's principle against the three traditional catagories in order to divide human beings types and to show the relation between body and mind. A new Geist's principle indicated that the body itself could not be recognized without Geist and might be a specialized body unified with Geist. Based on the Max Scheler's new theory, the conclusions were as follow: First, Max Scheler attempted to find out the reality of human being in the spiritual with Geist stage not in the biological stage. Second, the human beings' body and Geist had the whole unified structure which could not be separeted each other because of an inter-dynamic relation. Third, the meaning of human body should be a specialized one which integrated with the principle of Geist. Forth, the concept of body in the Human Movement Science could contribute to and closely related with human beings' well living and good life. Therefore, the concepts of human movement should focus on the wholly embodied man or nuw spiritual beings that gave the possibilities to achieve the self-improvement was the Geist's quality which could deny the reality of life. The body and human movement of the Human movement Science had the characteristics of play which human beings could extend the fictive world. Conclusively, Max Scheler's philosophical anthropology suggested that the meaning of specialized body could provide a framework pointing out the limitation about just objective facts of mechanical and physical body. That is the reality of body has a unique human movement as an unified whole man.
