유기체적 오브제(objet)에 의한 생성의 공간

Abstract

현대 미술은 수많은 정의 아래 크게는 형식과 내용, 좁게는 구상과 추상, 주관과 객관 등의 순환적인 반복을 통해 발전해 왔다. 따라서 "예술이란 무엇인가?" 라는 물음에 대해 오늘날은 매우 다양한 대답이 존재한다. 현대 미술은 다양한 양식들이 반복적이며 반동적인 성격을 지니고 여러 이즘들을 전개시켜 왔다. 새로운 기법과 재료에 뒤따른 놀라운 착상들은 다양한 표현 방식이 생겨나게 했으며, 우리 자신과 세계에 대한 새로운 통찰력을 갖도록 해 주었다. 최근에 대두한 포스트 모더니즘(Post Modernism)은 형식과 내용의 문제를 초월하여 여러 미술 양식들이 동시에 공존할 수 있음을 보여 준다. 포스트 모더니즘을 무엇이라 정의하기 이전에 새로운 미술은 단순한 수평적 진보가 아니며 재료와 매체, 형식에 대해 기존의 것과는 달리 좀 더 열린 태도를 취하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 다양하고 복잡한 상황 속에서 펼쳐지는 미술 현상들이 단지 '다양함' 그 자체로 정당화될 수는 없다. 이러한 관점에서 본인은 미술에서의 새로움이란 작가의 문제 의식과 일체를 이루는 새로움이어야 하고, 작가 나름의 새로운 조형 언어의 시도이어야 한다는 생각을 하게 되었다. 본인은 대량 생산되는 기계적 이미지의 홍수 속에서 무심코 지나쳐 버리기 쉬운 수공의 가치를 자연적인 형태의 오브제를 통하여 그 의미를 되새겨 보고자 하였다. 이에 지점토로 만든 생물형태적 오브제라는 본인만의 조형 언어로 '세상 만들기'를 시작하였다. 세상을 이루는 크고 작은 요소들의 관계, 인간과 우주와의 관계, 나아가서는 생명체의 신비에 대한 궁금증은 공간 속에 생명감의 이미지를 잉태시켰다. 본 논문에서는 작품의 제작을 유기적 형태를 통한 역동의 공간과 유기체적 오브제의 표현으로 나누어 설명하였으며, 끝으로 본인의 작품을 분석함으로써 반성 의 기회를 갖고, 끊임없는 노력과 탐구의 자세로 보다 자유롭고 깊이있는 세계를 구축해 나가고자 한다.;Modern art, by and large, can be defined as form and substance in a broad sense, and as visual and abstract in a more specific sense. Through the continuous evolvement and circulation of objective and subjective concepts, modern art has developed up to the present day. With that in mind, one may ask, "What is Art?" The answers to that question are numerous. Modern art and a variety of other styles have carried with it a reactionary character and thus contributed to the many "isms" in the art-works of today. New techniques and materials, Followed closely by a variety of surprising ideas, have contributed to the artistic re-birth of man and provided new insight to the world of art. The latest influential Post Modernism Art has transcended the subject of form and substance of many styles of art and has allowed different modes to co-exist at the same time. Post Modernism, even before it was defined, was not simple and stagnant. The media for the exposure of materials and existing styles were different from the past, but Modern art can provide the necessary channels to facilitate the adoption of new attitudes. However, diverse and dynamic conditions that broaden the avenue for the modern art phenomena cannot simply lead one to a diverse state of self-propriety. From this point of view, I believe that "newness" in art should coincide with the artist's critical mind and should represent the formative arts in his own way. In this spirit, my work is an attempt to revive and display the mass-produced flood of mechanical imagery in its naturally innate state. Thereupon, I began to create a world for man-made living objects through the formative arts. Creation is composed of large and small elements, encompassing man and the universe. The image of the mystery and wonders surrounding the progress of life's organisms is brought to life within the confines of one's life feelings. In my thesis, I analyzed the overflowing bitterness in the organic forms created by the manufacturing state of my work and the the expression that the organic object portrays. Finally, in order to examine and analyze my work in more detail, I took the opportunity for self-reflection. The result was that rather than relying upon a ceaseless effort at research and analysis, my work would be more effective if the world could take an unrestricted deep understanding of its meanings. This is the path I choose to take.
