학령전 장애아를 가진 어머니의 자존감과 대인관계 증진을 위한 집단 프로그램 개발에 관한 일연구

Abstract

장애아 가족은 장애아로 인하여 많은 부담을 느끼는데 가족 중에서도 양육의 일차적 부담을 감당하고 있는 장애아 어머니는 정신적, 육체적, 경제적 문제의 고통으로 인하여 자존감이 낮아지고 소극적인 대인관계를 맺게 되며 그 결과 여러 부정적인 영향을 초래하게 된다. 그러나 현행 사회복지서비스에서는 이러한 장애아 어머니를 위한 프로그램의 운영이 미비한 실정이다. 장애아 어머니의 자존감과 대인관계의 문제는 당사자만의 문제가 아니라 장애자녀 및 정상자녀 그리고 가족 모두에게 영향을 미친다. 이에 본 연구는 학령전 장애아 어머니들을 대상으로 자존감과 대인관계 증진을 위한 프로그램을 설계, 실시하고 그 효과성을 평가하여 학령전 장애아 어머니를 위한 집단 사회사업 프로그램을 활용하는 방안을 모색해 보고자 했다. 실험집단으로 선정한 C 종합사회복지관 조기교실 어머니 6명에게 8회에 걸쳐 프로그램을 실시 사전, 사후에 효과성 측정도구에 의한 검사를 하였고 통제집단은 M사회복지관 조기교실 어머니 6명을 선정하여 사전검사와 검사 1개월 후에 재검사를 하였다. 프로그램 실시 후 본 연구의 목적에 따라 다음과 같이 그 효과를 측정하였다. 1. Coopersmith의 자존감 검사(S.E.I.)를 우애령이 사용한 것을 갖고 프로그램 실시 사전, 사후에 자존감 점수를 측정하여 통제집단과 비교하였다. 2. 이대 학생생활연구소의 대인관계 척도를 김선희가 조정하여 사용한 것을 갖고 프로그램 실시 사전, 사후에 대인관계 점수를 측정하여 통제집단과 비교하였다. 3. Flokman과 Lazarus가 개발한 스트레스대처방식척도를 김정희와 이장호가 수정 보완한 62문항 척도를 우애령이 사용한 것을 갖고 프로그램 실시 사전, 사후에 스트레스대처방식을 검사하여 통제집단과 비교하였다. 4. Beck의 우울증 검사(BDI)를 서혜영이 사용한 것을 갖고 프로그램 실시 사전, 후에 우울증 점수를 측정하여 통제집단과 비교하였다. 그리하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 자존감 검사점수는 실험집단, 통제집단 모두 변화가 없었다. 2. 대인관계 검사점수는 실험집단에 있어 통계적으로 유의한 변화가 있었다. 이는 본 프로그램이 장애아 어머니의 대인관계 중진에 효과적이라고 해석할 수 있겠다. 3. 우울증 검사점수는 실험, 통제집단 모두 통계적으로 유의한 변화가 없었다. 4. 스트레스대처방식 전체 검사점수에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의한 수준의 차이가 없었으나 9개의 하부영역중 소망적 사고에 있어 실험집단 평균치는 프로그램 실시 후 같았으나 통제집단은 증가되어 P<.05 유의수준에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이는 본 프로그램에 참석한 결과 실험집단의 소망적사고 대처방식사용이 지양된 긍정적인 결과라고 해석할 수 있겠다. 또 다른 하부영역인 모험 시도에서도 실험집단은 프로그램 실시 후 P=.05 유의한 차이가 있었으나 통제집단은 변화가 없었다. 이는 모험시도에 있어 본 프로그램의 효과가 있었다고 해석할 수 있겠다. 위의 연구 결과를 통하여 학령전 장애아 어머니들의 자존감과 대인관계를 증진시키기 위한 집단 프로그램의 활용을 위해서는 프로그램 실시 후 긍정적인 자아개념 형성을 위한 내용을 보완한 사후 프로그램이 실시되어야 하며 연구결과를 일반화하기 위해서는 연구 대상자의 수를 늘려 연구할 필요가 있다고 본다.;To develop the group program for the mother with handicapped children to increase the self-esteem and personal relationship through the performance and evluaation of the pretes-posttest controlled group design. 1. Design the group program for the mother with the handicapped children to increase the self-esteem and the personal relationship. 2. Perform and evaluate the designed program with tools. The experimental group has 6 members who have younger handicapped children and they registed in C social center, special education class. The controlled group has 6 members who have younger handicapped children and they registered in M social center, special education class. The experimental group have 2 sessions a week, 120 minutes, total 8 sessions of the designed program. And perform the pretest and posttest and compare the score of the two groups. TOOLS FOR THE EVALUATION 1. SEI of Coopersmith Measure the self-esteem score of the experimental group and the controlled group and compare two groups. 2. Personal Relationship Scale of the Student Institution of Ewha Womans Uni, Measure the persoanl relatioship score of the experimental group and the controlled group and compare two groups. 3. The Way of Stress Copying Check List Measure the way of stress copying score of the experimental group and the controlled group and compare two groups. 4. BDI of Beck Measure the depression score of the experimental group and the controlled group and compare two groups. RESULT OF THE STUDY 1. Self-esteem score is not changed both of the two groups after the program. 2. Persoanal relationship score of the experimental group 9is increased with statistically significant difference. This program is effective for the mother with handicapped children to increase the personal relationship. 3. BDI score is not increased after the program. 4. In the way of stress copying, subarea wishful thinking and adventure attempt are statistically significant difference. FUTURE RECOMMENDATION The researcdher suggests the necessity of follow-up program to increase the self-esteem and more case than 6. 6 is not enough to generalize the result.
