고전문학 작품지도상의 내용적정성 탐색

Abstract

고전문학과 현재의 수용자와의 사이에 놓인 시간적 거리로 인하여, 작품의 이해 및 감상을 위해서는 그에 따르는 原典解讀과 註釋, 時代背景 등 지식, 정보의 요구량이 많다. 사실 학습자가 작가의 전기적 사설이나 시대적 배경 등 여러 배경지식을 가지게 되면, 편협된 문학감상을 극복하고 그 작품의 이해를 돕는 데 큰 역할을 한다. 문제는 주객이 전도되어 지식이 작품 자체보다 더 중시되는 상황인 것일 뿐이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 고전문학 작품지도에 있어서 문학지식만을 강조하는 주입식 교육을 경계하는 비판적 의식을 거쳐, 학습자의 제 발달수준을 고려한 문학이해 및 감상을 위해서 어떤 내용을 어느 정도까지 다루어야 적정하겠는가 하는 점을 內容適正性 採索을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. Ⅱ장에서는 고전문학 작품지도의 목적, 작품지도상의 문제점 및 이에 대한 내용적정성 탐색의 필요성을 제기한다. Ⅲ장에서는 탐색의 준거를 설정하고 내용적정성 탐색에 있어서 고려하여야 할 학습자 측면을 살펴보았다. Ⅳ장에서는 지도내용의 층위를 크게 해독, 작가에 대한 이해, 장르적 특징, 사회 문화적 배경, 작품의 형식과 구조, 가치평가로 나누고 각각의 내용적정성을 탐색하였다. 고전문학 작품지도상의 내용적정성 탐색은, 고전문학 작품지도의 목적의 효과적인 수행을 위한 전제 작업으로서의 의의를 가질 것이다. 또한 이는 '어떻게 가르칠 것인가'를 지도내용의 측면에서 바라본 것이므로 고전문학 작품지도를 위한 교수-학습 방법 설계면에서 실천적 방향을 제시하는 의미있는 방안이 될 것이다. 따라서 지도내용의 적정성 탐색은 교육방법과의 유기적 맞물림을 필요로 하는 개념이라고 할 수 있다.;When teaching classical Literature, unlike modern literature, students have to prepare more things such as complete reading of source textbooks and collecting and understanding of Notes, historical background, and other necessary information in order to understand and appreciate classical literature correctly, since it is the produce of the given period during which all the living pattern, social structures, a view of the world, the sense of value, and literary practice are entirely different. In fact, learners can overcome their biased appreciation of classical works and understand them better, if they know the biographical facts about writers and then social background in advance. The matter is to aly more weight on the literary knowledge than the works themselves like puting the cart before the horse. Thus, this study aims at suggesting the method and level of teaching classical literature for the students to understand and appreciate it properly, according to their development pace and criticizing intentionally the cramming system of education where only the literary knowledge is emphasized. To do so, the content optimum level is searched. Chapter Ⅱ suggests the purpose of teaching classical literature, problems in teaching works, and the necessity of searching for the content optimum level. Chapter Ⅲ establishes standards for the search and discusses the aspects of learners to lie considered. Chapter Ⅳ presents the large classification of leaching contents into reading, understanding of writers, characteristics of genres, socio-cultural background, mode and structure of works and value estimation and determines the content optimum level. The meaning of search for the content optimum level in classical literature is the preliminary work to carry out the object of classical literature education efficiently. In addition, it may be useful data suggesting the practical direction toward teaching and learning of classical literature, because it is to consider the matter of 'how to teach' in terms of leaching contents. Therefore, it may be said that the search for the content optimum level is a concept which needs the organic relation will teaching methods.
