교원현직교육에 대한 교사들의 기대

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the expection of elementary / middle school teachers for the general training organited by the authorities. The study method was done by the document analysis and sampling analysis. The questionaire were distributed to 450 teachers working in Seoul to get their feedback about the operation and contents of the general training. The number of return was 412 and 401 returns was used for this analysis. It was compared by sex, foundation, school and personal history. The study results are summarized as follows: The first, the opportunity to take this training is not sufficient to them. The reason can be explained that the specific major subject class was not opened. It is needed that teachers can take then major subject training at any time. And then over-burdened administrative works have hindered the viability of that program. So it is recommended that teachers are given training leaves after specific period so that their education quality could be enhanced. The second, they prefer the practical experienced instructor and one instructor for 20 trainee. The third, they hope the plate should be developed with a new resort having a good view. And they also request the traing place can be changed to the near training office instead of assigned one, if the program is the same. The training program should assist the need of teachers itself. The fourth, the elementary school teachers prefer the class subject and teaching technology, while the middle school teachers prefer the new theory of teaching method. They are more interested in the practice and audio-visual method. The broadcasting method can be partly available in order to reduce the facility shortage. The fifth, they respond with the more fifty percent that the effect of the general training program is not satisfactory. They also hope that the participation rate and attitude should be considered on the appraisal. The training participant should be given some advantage to apply high position, they are wanting. Finally, the goverment assistance is essential to improve the quality teacher in terms of administrative and financing support.;교원 현직교육이란 교원이 자신의 직무를 보다 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 받는 제반 교육 및 교원 스스로 탐구하는 활동이며, 교직의 전문적 성장을 위해서 현직교원에게 실시하는 계속교육이다. 본 연구에서는 교원현직교육 중에서 기관중심 현직교육인 일반연수에 대한 초·중등교사들의 기대를 알아보는 데에 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구내용은 문헌연구와 조사연구를 병행하였으며, 일반연수의 운영면과 내용면에 대한 기대를 알아보기 위하여 서울 시내 초·중등학교 교사 450명을 대상으로 설문지를 배부하였다. 회수된 것은 412부였고, 자료처리한 부수는 401부이며, 통계 처리는 .05의 수준에서 x^(2) 검증을 하였고 성별, 설립별, 학교급별, 경력별에 따라 비교하였다. 이상에서 시행된 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일반연수의 기화가 충분하지 못한 것으로 나타났으며, 그 이유로는 해당분야의 연수개설이 안된 것으로 나타났으므로, 교사들이 원하는 해당분야의 연수가 항시 개설이 되어서 희망하면 선택하여 받을 수 있는 제도적 장치가 있어야 할 것이다. 또한 교사의 과중한 업무부담이 일반연수 활성화의 저해요인으로 나타난 바, 연수휴가제도가 이루어져 일정한 경력이 지날 때마다 수준을 높여가며 단계적인 일반연수를 필수적으로 받게 하는 장치로 교원의 자질을 높일 수 있어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 지도강사로서는 현장 실무경험자가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 강사 1인당 지도인원은 20명을 선호하였으므로 고려하여야 할 것이다. 셋째, 연수기관은 각 시·도 교육연구원으로 경치 좋은 곳에 휴양시설 겸 현대식으로 개선하는 것을 희망하였으며, 해당 교육청이 아니라도 같은 내용의 연수라면 근처 교육청 관내의 연수기관에서 연수를 받을 수 있도록 행정적 편의를 기대하고 있었으므로 실적 위주로 하는 행정에서 벗어나 진정한 교사를 위한 연수가 되어야 할 것이다. 넷째, 연수과목으로는 초등의 경우는 교과내용과 지도기술에 선호도를 나타내었으며, 중등의 경우에는 학습지도에 관한 새로운 이론에 희망하므로 과목 선정시에 고려되어야 할 것이다. 연수방법으로는 실습과 시청각 방법에 많은 반응을 보였으며, 내용에 따라 부분적으로 방송연수를 겸하여 출·퇴근과 편의시설 부족에서 오는 연수 부담감을 줄이는 것에 대다수 찬성하였으므로 방법을 개선하여야 할 것이다. 다섯째, 일반연수의 평가에 대한 효과에 대해서 과반수 이상이 별 효과가 없다고 반응하였으며, 평가내용도 출석률, 참여태도 등을 고려하기를 희망하였고, 절대평가를 기대하였으므로 연수 이수자에게는 연수이수시간을 누가하여 상위자격취득의 학점으로 인정해 주어야 할 것이다.
