문제해결에서 전략에 의한 문제유형의 분류

Abstract

The mathematical topic that we emphasize most in secondary school is problem solving. The purpose of this research is to classify problems into patterns according to problem solving strategies and is to survey the validity of the classification, For this aim, some research problem are set up and are analyzed; 1. What kind of heuristics are there in solving problems? 2. Is the classification of the problems proper according to its strategy which researches has selected? 3. What difference can be found between when a student solves problems successfully according to its strategies and when a student does not? To analyze these research problems, am examination for the validity was carried out both in teacher-group and in student group. Through this examination, the following result was achieved All six problem-groups which researcher classified are estimated high through inquires sent to teacher-group and apart from a few items, researcher finds it in student's achievement test that a student solves a problem effectively according to its strategies which is given as a hint. This says that a student can solve a problem successfully according to its strategies if teacher instructs it. And it is found that students are in want of ability of expressing their thinking process while they are solving subjective questions. There is a wide difference between the student who can solve problems successfully and who can not. For instance, the former makes the most use of methematical definitions in solving problems and understands the structure of the problem correctly and utilizes the given informations. As a conclusion, researcher has studied strategies in solving problems in secondary school and classified problem types: Such classification of problem types is helpful for creating methods, of solving problems and improving transfering a bilities. This it was meaningful because it can be used to improve students' abilities in solving problems.;문제해결이 중등학교 수학지도에서 가장 강조되고 있는 교육현실속에서 본 연구는 문제해결 전략에 의하여 문제군을 만들어 보고 그 분류의 타당성을 조사해 보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 몇가지의 연구문제를 설정하고 분석하였다. 첫째, 문제해결에서 보이는 전략은 어떤 종류가 있는가? 둘째, 연구자가 선정한 전략에 의한 문제군의 분류가 적절한가? 세째, 전략의 사용과정에서 보이는 성공적인 풀이와 그렇지 않은 경우 사이에 어떤 차이가 있는가? 이 연구 문제를 분석하기 위하여 교사집단과 학생집단에 대한 타당도 검사를 실시했다. 교사집단의 설문조사에서는 연구자가 분류한 6가지 문제군 모두 적절한 분류라는 평가를 받았으며 학생의 성취도를 알아보는 검사에서는 학생들이 몇 문항을 제외하고 힌트로 제시된 전략을 이용하여 문제를 해결했다. 이는 연구자가 분류한 전략을 지도하면 각 문제군에 있는 문제를 성공적으로 해결할 수 있음을 보여주는 것이었다. 또 주관식 문제에 대한 풀이과정을 조사해 본 결과 학생들이 자기의 사고과정을 표현하는 능력이 부족했음을 발견할 수 있었고 성공적으로 문제를 해결한 학생과 그렇지 못한 학생들과는 전략의 사용면에서 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 예를들면 수학의 정의를 명확하게 활용하는것, 문제의 구조를 정확히 파악하여 주어진 정보를 해석하는 일등에서 차이를 보였다. 결론적으로 중등학교 문제해결에 쓰이는 전략을 알아보고 문제유형을 전략에 따라 분류해 봄으로써 풀이방법의 고안, 전이력 향상에 도움을 주어 학생들의 문제해결 능력을 신장시킬 수 있으므로 의미있는 일이었다.
