아동의 성 고정관념에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 4-7세 아동을 대상으로 성고정관념의 정도가 가사일, 직업, 놀이에 대해, 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 차이가 있는지를 알아 보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 가사일에 대한 성고정관념은 아동의 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 차이가 있는가? 2. 직업에 대한 성고정관념은 아동의 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 차이가 있는가? 3. 놀이에 대한 성고정관념은 아동의 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 차이가 있는가? 4. 전체적인 (가사일, 직업, 놀이) 성고정관념은 아동의 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 차이가 있는가? 본 연구는 4-7세 아동을 대상으로 연령(4)×성별(2)×지역(2) 각 14명씩 총 224명이다. 연구방법으로는 가사일, 직업, 놀이에 대한 성고정관념을 알아보기 위해 아동과 개별면담을 하였다. 아동의 성고정관념정도를 측정하기 위한 면접도구는 Marantz Mansfield의 검사도구를 기초로 하여 전문가의 안면 타당 검증을 통해 본 연구자가 수정하여 사용하였다. 연구절차는 예비검사와 본검사로 나누어 실시하였다. 자료의 처리는 연령별 차이를 알아보기 위해서는 one-way ANOVA를 산출하였고, 성별, 지역별 점수차이와 연령별성차, 연령별지역 점수차이를 알아보기 위해서는 t검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 가사일에 대한 성고정관념은 연령이 증가함에 따라 덜 고정적 이었다. 그러나 성별에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 반면 가사일에 대한 성고정관념은 도시아동이 농촌아동보다 덜 고정적인 것으로 나타났다. 2. 직업에 대한 성고정관념은 연령이 증가함에 따라 덜 고정적이었고, 남자가 여자보다, 도시아동이 농촌아동보다, 덜 고정적인 것으로 나타났다. 3. 놀이에 대한 성 고정관념은 연령이 증가함에 따라 덜 고정적이었고, 성별에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 도시아동이 농촌아동보다 덜 고정적인 것으로 나타났다. 4. 전체적인 (가사일+직업+놀이) 성 고정관념은 연령이 증가함에 따라 덜 고정적이었으며, 성별에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었고, 도시아동이 농촌아동보다 덜 고정적인 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of the study is to explore the difference of sex fixed ideas of 224 children ranging from 4 to 7 years old who consist of 16 groups chosen on the basis of each one group of 14 children by ages(4) X sexes(2) X districts(2) when the sex fixed ideas are applied to housekeeping, occupation, and play in accordance with children's ages, sexes, and districts respectively. The findings of the study are as follows: 1. The findings for the fixed ideas on sex-roles in accordance with children's age show that there are statistically significant differences among housekeeping, occupation, and plays. In other words, more older they are, less fixed their ideas on sex-roles. 2. The findings for the fixed ideas on sex in accordance with children's sexes reveal that boys are less fixed than girls as to occupations, however, their general fixed ideas on sex and on sex specific housekeepings have not any statistically significant difference between both sexes. 3. The findings for the fixed ideas on sex in accordance with children's districts suggest that children in a city are less fixed than those in a country as to all the categories of housekeeping, occupations, and plays. From the findings said above this study comes to a conclusion as follows: 1. Probably, the modification of the concepts of traditional sex roles and a renovative reconstruct of new concepts of sex roles may contribute to lessen the children's fixed ideas on sex-roles. 2. In order to lessen the children's fixed ideas on sex-roles, any hightlighting of the traditional roles a male or a female has taken should be avoided in constructing a curriculum of home or education institutes or a circumstances of a class.
