Abstract
이와같이 Brahms는 고전 Sonata 형식위에 서정적인 선율, 독창적인 전조 등으로 독자적인 음악세계를 표현하고 있으며, duo-Sonata에 Clarinet을 도입해 새로운 실내악 형식을 창조하고 있다.;exposition, the 2nd theme begins in B^(b) major(the dominant key of the E^(b)' major original), whereas in the recapitulation it reappears in C^(b)' major briefly before moving to E^(b) major. Also, the exposition has no definite conclusion, and each small part, likewise, is not treated to an exact cadence. In the third movement, the major motive of the theme develops into a contrapuntal structure which dominates the whole movement. The clarinet writing avoids a high register, and is well balanced with the piano throughout. Melodic structure is characterized by lyricism and progresses in various forms such as sequence, chromaticism and arppegio. The rhythmic forms include triplet, syncopation and cross-rhythm. As to harmony, it is treated mostly by use of secondary dominant 7th chords, secondary diminished 7th chords, German and Italian 6th chords and, variant chords, and various modulations to unr디ated keys, which make for unique effects in timbre. All these above are characteristics of Brahms' maturity, and provide an effective, new style of composition for a duo sonata
