고입 연합고사 영어과 출제경향의 분석적 연구

Abstract

최근 5년간 전국 고입 연합고사 문제를 분석함으로써 문제 내용안에 포함하고 있는 독해영역, 문법구문 영역을 중점적으로 다루어 출제경향을 살펴보고자 한다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 요소별 영역별로 분류하여 그 결과를 조사한 후 중학교 3학년과정 중 중요도 비중을 알아보면 3학년에서 약 70%, 2학년에서 약 20%, 1학년에서 10% 안팎을 차지하고 있다. 대체적으로 중학교 3년간 정상적인 교육을 받은 중위권의 학생들이라면 무난히 풀 수 있는 기본적인 문제들이 골고루 출제되는 경향을 보이고 있으며 단어·숙어에 관한 문제로서는 단어의 영역풀이 동의어, 반의어, 명사의 변화와 동사의 활용, 대명사 it, that, this가 가리키는 내용을 묻는 문제들이 출제되었다. 테스트 항목에 포함되어 있는 요소별 영역별 문항분석, 단어의 출제빈도, 예문의 내용을 살펴봄으로써 문제점을 제시할 수 있고 올바른 평가 여부에 대해서도 알아볼 수 있다. 내용상으로 영어과의 교육목표와 지도목표에 얼마나 일치하는가를 알아봄으로써 교과지도상의 방향을 알아볼 수도 있다. 현행 중학교 영어과 수업이 문법위주에서 생활영어 수업을 중요시하는 쪽으로 나아가고 있지만 문법구문 영역안에 담고 있는 단어의 선정, 단어의 사용빈도, 단어의 내용은 어휘의 기본이 되면서 영어학습의 밑받침이 된다. 평가의 목표와 지도 목표가 일치되는 좋은 문제를 출제할 때 교사의 입장에서 학습 목표를 설정할 수 있게 된다. 구체적인 학습목표가 주어짐으로써 학습 효과를 올릴 수 있다는 점을 감안하여 볼 때 테스트 문제 내용이 구체적인 학습목표에 상당한 영향을 미친다. 또한 교사와 학생은 평가하고 평가받는 불가분의 관계에 있기 때문에 예년의 문제 내용을 중요시 하지 않을 수 없다. 본 연구자는 이러한 문제 내용상 출제경향을 조사함으로써 앞으로의 영어과 수업에 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 하는 바램으로 연구를 하였다. 1982년부터 1986년에 실시된 고입 연합고사의 전국 출제경향을 조사하여 어휘 영역의 반영도와 분석결과는 연구내용에 수록해 놓았다.;To look for the English educational goals displayed in the educational curriculum, we should consult the testing as well as teaching materials. Testing and learning are closely related with each other; therefore, the goal of teaching has a close relation with that of testing. As for English, We can find indirectly the curriculum goal by comparing and analyzing the testing items, so as to confirm the validity and the reliability of English testing. This study deals with english examination question. The purpose of this study is to suggest the ways to solve some problems concerned after we find out whether or not the English questions are related to the educational goal of English departments through analyzing and examining the questions not only from the linguistic viewpoint but from the standpoint of the teaching goals in English departments. The goals of this study are as follows: 1. To overview and analyze the items of the entrance examination for high schools in order to examine the degree of validity of English learning for three years in middle school. 2. To discover the problems of these items. 3. To suggest improvements. The methods of this study are as follows: 1. The data used in this study are English educational goals in the educational curriculum for middle and high school and items in the English test of the high school entrance examination. 2. The researcher used the four basic skills of English learning: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, middle school vocabulary, reading tests, and the middle school educational goals to analyze the English testing items. As a result, it seems to be important that the English testing items of the high school entrance examination must relate with the english educational goals in an English educational curriculum. In addition they must include the four English learning skills. In the future, there shall be further study about more appropriate testing methods to test speaking and listening abilities instead of by a written test.
