사물을 대상으로한 타피스트리의 질감표현

Abstract

인간의 주위환경은 생활의 장 이며, 인간의 끊임없는 관찰과 표현의 대상 이기도 하다. 때로는 무심코 지나칠 수 있는 사소한 현상도 관찰자에 따라 어떠한 의미를 지니는 표현 대상으로써 부각될 수 있는 것이다. 다시 말해서 예술은 주위의 모든것에서 미를 발견하는 하나의 구체적인 수단이 되며 그것은 무엇인가를 표현함으로써 성립되는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 인간의 생활환경에서 볼 수 있는 나무, 벽, 포도등에서 얻은 여러가지 느낌의 재질감을 날실과 씨실의 교차관계 변화를 주기도 하고 또 그 밖의 기법을 이용하기도 하여 연구자의 심상에 비친 세계로 재구성 하여 독창적인 조형세계를 추구하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 시각적 체험과 표현에 대해 알아보고 실제로 섬유예술에서 타피스트리(tapestry)기법의 활용 양상을 여러 섬유예술 작가의 작품을 살펴 봄으로써 작품의 근거로 삼고자 하였다. 결론적으로 말하면 우리는 주위의 사물들에서 다양한 재질감의 소재를 얻을수 있으며 날실은 단순히 씨실을 지탱하기위한 도구가 아니고 그 간격과 굵기에 따라 재질감을 변화시킬수 있는 중요한 표현 수단인 것이다. 이러한 재질감 형성에 대한 다양한 시도는 섬유예술의 표현 가능성 확대에 많은 도움이 되리라 믿는다.;The environment surrounding human beings is a place for living and an object of observation and expression. Trivial things which are passed unnoticed can be emerged as an meaningful object of expression of an artwork according to an observer's view. From the object found around us, we make the artwork into a form as a concrete expressive means of the object. In this study I tried to feel and touch things such as walls, trees, roads, etc. Then, I intended to reorganize the images shown to me and pursue the unique formative world by introducing various type in interweaving of warps and wefts and showings other techniques. For this purpose in this thesis visual experiences and expressions in fiber art were studied add tapestry works of modern fiber artists were researched and analysed. In conclusion, we can find various kinds of subjects for the art works from things around us. Warps and Wefts are important expressive means in tapestry by changing the thiekness, material and intervals to make the individual textures. Various attempts should be tried to expand the possibility of expression.
