J. S. Bach, A. Guilmant, O. Messiaen의 오르간 음악에 관한 소고

Abstract

본 논문에서는 각 시기를 대표하여 오르간 음악사에 길이 남을 Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), Alexandre Guilmant (1837-1911), 그리고 Olivier Messiaen (b. 1908)의 주요 오르간 작품들을 그들의 음악적 배경 및 특성과 함께 살펴봄으로써 보다 좋은 연주를 하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다. Bach의 Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C Major (BWV 564)는 북독일 오르간 전통 위에 3악장의 이태리협주곡 양식을 도입해 Bach의 독창성으로 구현한 작품이다. Guillmant의 Sonata Op. 42, No. 1 in d minor는 "Symphony"라는 부제가 붙은 곡으로 낭만주의 풍부한 화성적 특성과 더불어 프랑스 Organ Symphonic School의 정신이 잘 나타나있다. 소나타 형식에 충실한 1악장, 목가적 2악장, 그리고 16분음표의 빠르고 화려한 페세이지가 돋보이는 3악장으로 구성되어 있다. Messiaen의 승천조곡(L'Ascension)은 4개의 교향악적 명상곡으로 이루어져 있다. 느리고 엄숙한 1·4악장 사이에 독특한 색채감이 복리듬과 새소리등과 어울리는 2악장, 그리고 Full Organ의 빠른 3악장이 놓인다.;This thesis is a study on the characteristic organ works of the 3 great organ musicians and their musical background and features, especially J.S.Bach(1685-1850),A. Guilmant(1837-1911) and O.Messiaen (b.1908) who represent each periods and take important possession in the history of the Organ Music. And further it will help the author to play good music. Bach's 「Toccata, Adagio and Fugue in C Major」 has its own features and originalities, which reveals the influences of Italian music in the tradition of North Germany's Organ Music. Guilmant's 「Sonata No.11」 subtitled "Symphony", has abundant Romanticistic features and the spirit of French Organ Symphonic School. The 1st movement is a typical Sonata form and the 2nd movement Pastorale. The 3rd movement is characterized with its fast and brilliant passages of short note. Messiaen's 「Ascension Day」 Consist of 4 Symphonic meditations Both the 1st and the 4th mov. are slow and solemn. The 2nd movement is characterized with its timbre , the cross-rythms and the sound of birds' singing. And the 3rd movement is very fast and of full organ.
