韓國敎會 女性敎育의 歷史와 問題에 대한 硏究

Abstract

이 논문의 목적은 한국 감리교회의 여성교육을 중심으로 한국교회의 여성교육의 역사와 그 문제점들을 밝히고 미래 한국교회의 여성교육을 위한 방향을 모색하는 데에 있다. 한국교회의 주요 구성원은 여성이다. 따라서 교회여성의 교육은 대단히 중요한 교육이며, 한국교회의 여성에 대한 교육의 여하에 따라 미래 한국교회의 운명이 결정된다고도 말할 수 있다. 한국여성들은 전통적으로 남성에게 종속된 삶을 살아 왔다. 이러한 한국여성의 지위를 향상시키기 위한 움직임이 개화와 더불어 시작되었다. 그리고 개신교는 이 개화기에 한국에 전래되었다. 교육과 의료사업으로 시작된 개신교 선교는 한국여성의 지위에 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 선교사들이 행한 여성교육에는 많은 문제점들이 내포되어 있었다. 한국 감리교회의 여성교육도 그 당시 한국 여성들에게 많은 공헌을 한 것은 틀림없지만, 그래도 여러가지 문제점들을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 이 논문은 앞으로의 교회 여성교육을 위해 이러한 문제점들을 밝히려고 한다. 이제 한국교회는 100주년을 맞이하였다. 그러나 한국교회의 역사를 살펴볼 때 한국교회는 민족을 향해 오류를 범한 예가 많이 있었다. 그러므로. 앞으로 한국교회는 서구 기독교 선교가 한국교회에 남겨준 문제점들을 극복하고, 민족을 위한 교회로서의 사명을 감당해야 할 것이다. 이와 더불어 미래 한국교회의 여성교육은 한국여성과 한국교회와 한국민족의 문제를 극복하면서 전개되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 이 논문은 과거와 현재의 문제점들을 규명하는 것을 통해서 미래의 한국교회 여성교육의 방향을 설정하는 데에 의의가 있는 것이다.;The aims Of this thesis are: 1st, to look back upon the history of the education of women in Korean Methodist Church, 2nd, to identify the problems derived from it, and 3rd, to suggest a desirable direction of it in future. In Korea, women is the majority of church. Therefore, the education of church women is very important and considered to determine the position of Korean Church in future. Traditionally, Korean women have been subordinated to men. The movement to improve the status of Korean women began in the Korean enlightenment period. Protestant church was introduced into Korea in that period, too. Protestant mission that began with education and medical treatment changed Korean women's status. But the education of women had been implemented by missionaries left many problems. Of course, the education of women in Korean Methodist Church contributed much to the development of Korean women. but it left many problems, too. Therefore ,this thesis is intended look into these problems. This year, Korean Church had the celebration of the hundredth anniversary of the founding. But through history of the Korean Church, we can find many mistakes of the Korean Church to nation. Therefore, Korean Church must solve problems that the Western Church's mission gave to the Korean Church and must fulfill it's mission as the church for our nation. At the same time, the education of women of the Korean Church in future must take a new turn, that is. it must solve the problems of the Korean women, the Korean Church and our nation. Therefore, this thesis intended to examine closely the problems of the past and the present and to suggest a desirable direction of the education of women of the Korean Church in future.
