평생교육 프로그램 구성을 위한 기초연구

Abstract

본 연구는 오늘날 시대적 요청에 부응하여 널리 확대되고 있는 평생교육 측면에서 그 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있고 여성을 대상으로 실시되고 있는 교양교육 프로그램의 바람직한 방향설정에 도움을 줄 수 있는 시사점을 제시하고자 출발하였다. 이러한 의도에서 교양교육 프로그램의 교육실태와 교육 참가자들의 교양교육 프로그램에 대한 태도 및 요구를 분석하고자 교양교육을 실시하는 서울시내 5개 여성단체의 수강자들을 대상으로 조사하였다. 본 조사의 결과를 요약해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교양교육의 의미를 폭넓은 지식과 경험을 배우는 교육이다. 로 이해하는 여성은 전체의 51.3%, 삶과 가치관의 궁극적인 문제에 관한 교육이다 가 30%로 이해하고 있었다. 둘째, 교양교육의 필요성에 대해서는 여성의 내적성숙과 발전을 위해(44.4%)라는 견해가 가장 높은 반응을 나타냈다. 이러한 필요성에 대한 인식과 더불어 교양교육에 참여동기는 자신의 내 적 성 숙 과 자아실현을 위해서(65%)가 과반수 이상을 차지하고 있었으며 자녀교육과 가정생활에 도움이 되기 위해(17.5%)로 나타났다. 세째, 교육만족도는 대체로 높아서 매우 유익했다 는 견해가 과반수를 차지하였고, 특히 교육후에 보람을 느꼈던 점으로는 사회변화에 따른 새로운 지식과 경험을 습득할 수 있었다.(43.1%) 및 자녀교육과 남편을 이해하는데 도움이 되었다.(36.9%)가 많은 비중을 차지하였다. 반면에 불만스러웠던 점으로는 계속 참여할 수 있는 다음 강좌가 연결되지 않았다 로 나타났다. 네째, 교육을 받으면서 대부분의 응답자는 학습내용을 잘 기억하기가 힘들었다.(35%), 집중력 부족을 느낀다.(29.4%)가 가장 많았으며 주변적인 어려움으로는 집과 아이들을 돌봐줄 사람의 부족(35%) 시간적인 여유 부족(35.6%) 등에 대해 어려움을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 교육을 받은 후 응답자의 46.3%는 강의와 더불어 발표, 토론, 견학, 실습등을 겸하는 학습방법을 희망하고 있었으며 교육활동에 대한 평가에 대해서는 46.3%의 여성이 부정적인 반응을 나타냈다. 여섯째, 앞으로 희망하는 교양교육 프로그램의 내용으로는 여성자신의 자아실현(33.3%)과 사회봉사활동이나 직업선택을 위한 프로그램(28.1%), 가정생활 전반에 관한 프로그램(25.6 %) 등을 많이 희망하고 있었으며, 연령에 따른 프로그램 제공(33.8%), 깊이있는 학습내용(24.4%) 등을 희망하는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to investigate the learning needs and attitudes of Korean womanadults who are participating in adult education program. In the study, related leterature is reviewed and field survey was performed through questionaire. The questionaire consistes of 18 questions regarding lifelong educational needs including motives to participate general education program, degree of satisfaction, general educational needs and directions of organization for the future program. The results of the survey are as follows. (1) Most of the participants join the program for self-realization and education of thire children, home: management. (2) Most of the participants are satisfied with the general education program, which covers on new knowledge and learning experiences and education of thire children. (3) Most of the participants have difficulty in memorizing and concentration. Although they didn't have much time to study, they participated in the program actively. (4) Not much concerned with age and academic backgrounds, most of the participants want instruction method which include oral report, discussion, actual training and observation. But they didn't want evaluation. (5) Most of the participants want the program to be related intellectual growth, self-realization and betterment of home management.
