VTR 활용에 관한 조사 연구

Abstract

VTR (Video Tape Recorder)은 1956년 미국 Ampex사에서 영상 기록용으로 최초로 개발된 이래 1964년 일본 Sony사에서 소형VTR 을 개발함으로써 학교교육과 산업용, 가정용으로 널리 활용 되었다. 특히 1968년말 일본에서 Cassette형 Color VTR (VCR)이 개발 되었고, 현재 선진국에서 학습과정에 활발히 이용되고 있다. VTR은 20세기의 중요한 시청각교육 매제로서 Direct recording과 Play Back (즉시 녹화 재생)의 특성을 지니고 있으므로 훈련받은 교사가 있는 학교에서 Program을 자작할 수 있고 또는TV에서 방영되는 Program이나 전문기관에서 제작된 Program을 선택하여 실제 학습 과정에 간편히 활용할 수 있는 장점을 지니고 있다. 우리나라 교육기관에서는 1967펄 국내 최초로 서강대학이 Language Lab.에 활용하기 위해 VTR기재를 도입 하였고 1969년에는 춘천 제일고등학교, 경기고등학교, 신일고등학교에서 도입 하였으며 국민학교로서는 1969년 리라국민학교가 처음 도입 하였다. 1973년 2월 문교부 지정 시청각 설비 기준령에 처음으로 CCTV가 권장항목으로 규정되면서 TV매체의 교육적 활용이 증대되고, 그와함께 VTR기재의 활용도 점차 늘고 있다. 그러나 우리나라에서는 현재까지 VTR기재의 보급이 얼마나 이루어 졌으며 또 어떻게 활용되고 있는지에 대한 조사와 그 효율적인 활용 실태의 연구가 아직 미흡한 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구는 서울시내 국민학교를 대상으로 VTR활용실태와 교사들의 태도를 조사 연구하기 위하여 다음과 같은 문제를 다루고 있다. 첫째, 서울시내 국민학교의 VTR관계 기재 보유 현황을 조사하고 둘째, VTR을 학습과정에서 어떠한 방식으로 활용하고 있는지 조사하고 셋째, VTR을 활용하는 경우 교사들의 반응과 태도는 어떠한지 등에 중점을 두고 조사한다. 이상과 같은 문제를 연구하기 위한 방법으로 문헌연구와 질문지 조사를 하였다. VTR의 활용실태를 조사한 질문지를 분석한 결과 서울시내국민학교 중에서 VTR기재 보유현황은 전체 서울시내국민학교 311개 중에서 66개 학교로 약 21% 정도로 나타났다. 학습과정에 활용하는 VTR교재중 자작에 의한 것은 전체 학교의 보유 tape 1,980개 중에서 318개로 약 11% 정도에 불과했다. VTR기재에 대한 교사들의 인식은 높은편이었고 VTR을 학습과정에 활용하는 교사들의 반응은 호응도가 높았으며 교사들의 태도 또한 적극적인 편이었다. 따라서 서울시내국민학교의 VTR활용에 대한 바람직한 방향을 다음과 같이 제시 한다. 첫째, 학교당국의 시청각매체 활용 방법 중 효율성이 매우 높은 VTR에 대한 인식과 활용 증대가 필요하다. 둘째, VTR기재의 가격이 보다 더 저렴하여 모든 국민학교에 충분히 보급 되어야 한다. 세째, VTR 담당 전문요원이 각 학교마다 있어서 VTR 활용증대와 교사들의 학습과정에 VTR활용 편의를 도모해야 한다. 넷째, 각 학급에 Monitor TV가 비치되어야 한다. 다섯째, 부족한 교재를 보충하기 위해선 조작과 휴대 그리고 이동이 간편한 휴대용 VTR, Video carmera, 및 Light가 보급되어서 교사든지 손쉽게 스스로 마음에 드는 교재를 자작해서 활용할 수 있도록 해야 하겠다.;VTR (Video Tape Recorder) as a record film was first made by Ampex-company & Ltd in America in 1956 and has widely been used for the industry affair and household sinces Sony company Ltd in Japan improved it to the small size. Especially in the civilized countries at the end of 1969, cassette-type of Color VTR (VCR) showed up to be actively used in the course of learning. VTR is one of the most important audio-visual media in the 20th century. It is characterized by direct recording and playback. Whoever is the trained teacher can easily deal with it and use it at his will. Seogang University for the first time introduced it to this country as one of the facilities for language laboratory after that the use of VTR facilities came to be widespread with the educational use of TV set. Research into the distribution of VTR and Study on the method for using it to the best advantape have, however, left something to be desired. This study is, therefore, dealing with these problems: First, To what extent is VTR used in elementary school? Second, How is VTR used in the course of learning? Third, About teacher's responses and attitude toward the learning in case of using VTR. This study at once researches for many treatises and surveys on questions. Analysis of the use of VTR among the elementary school in Seoul, shows that the number of the schools with VTR facilities amounts to 2l percent of the whole. Teachers show the favorable response to the use of VTR and, their attitude toward it is active. To make a good use of VTR in elementary schools, these five requirements must be satisfied : First, School authorities must recognize the effect of using VTR. Second, VTR must be cheaper and widely distributed in almost all the elementary school. Third, In every school, men proficient in VTR must help teachers to use VTR. Fourth, There must be monitor TV set in all the class. Fifth, By improving VTR and Video Camera and Light, any teacher must be able to utilize them at any moment.
