국민학교 동화 교재에 관한 분석연구

Abstract

어린이들은 이야기를 좋아한다. 이야기를 통해 어린이들은 동심 그대로 인간 본연의 순수함 속에 자라날 수 있다. 문학 교육은 작가의 사상이 반영된 작중 인물의 행동이나 감정을 통하여 인간 형성에 기여하는 것을 그 궁극적인 목적으로 하고 있다. 그러므로 국민학교 시절부터 문학 교육을 통해 잃어 가는 인간성을 회복시키고 참된 인간으로 키워야겠다. 현행 제4차 국어과 교육과정은 '문학'영역의 목표를 별도로 제시하면서 문학 교육을 강조하였다. 그리하여 본 연구는 현행 교육과정에 따른 교과서의 문학 교재의 비중을 살펴 교육과정의 반영 정도를 살펴보고, 문학 교재중에서도 어린이에게 꿈과 이상을 주는 동화 교재의 비중과 요소별 분석을 통하여 교재로서의 가치를 알아보았다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 문학 교재의 비중은 전체 교재의 약 40%를 차지하고 있으며 그중 동화 교재는 문학 교재의 15%를 차지하고 있다. 2. 교과서 동화와 신춘문예 당선 동화를 분석하여 대비한 결과 교과서 동화가 신춘문예 당선 동화에 비해 주제가 다양하지 못하며 자연적 배경에 치우쳤고 주인공은 남자에 편중되었고 구성은 발단, 전개, 절정, 결말의 짜임새를 갖춘 동화는 50%였으며 3인칭 시점에 편중되었다. 이상과 같은 분석 결과, 보다 바람직한 문학 교육이 되기 위한 교과서 동화 교재가 되기 위해 제언 하면, 1. 동화 교재의 인간 형성에 기여하는 궁극적 목적을 생각할 때 동화 교재의 양이 더 많아져야 하겠으며, 현 교과서의 동화교재가 학년목표에 맞지 않거나 편중된 경향이 있는 동화도 있으므로 이것은 학년목표에 맞는 다양한 주제·시점을 지닌 동화를 선정해 대체해 주어야 하겠다. 2. 현 교과서의 양적인 제약으로 작품수에 제한이 있으므로 신춘문예 당선동화와 같이 좋은 작품만을 모아놓은 작품집이나 부교재를 개발하여 학급문고에 비치해 아동들에게 접하게 해줌으로써 미래지향적인 동화교육이 되도록 심화시켜 주어야겠다.;Children like stories. Children could be growing up with having human's real genuine, naivety itself, through reading the stories. The ultimate goal of literature education is to make a contribution to real human being formation through the character's emotion and action in the story reflected writer's idea. So, children should be recovered failed human nature and be growing up right human being through the literature education from the elementary school. The literature education is emphasized and the objective of 'literature' territory is classified in the current fourth curriculum of Korean Education. Therefore, I make a study on the proportion of literature materials, especially the proportion of juvenile story which gives dream and ideal to children, and the reflection ratio of the current curriculum in textbook. And I make a detailed analysis on the juvenile story in textbook through contrast with the prize-winning ones to find out its appropriateness of future-oriented literature education materials. The analysis results are as followings : 1) The ratio of literature materials in textbook is 40% and one of juvenile story in literature materials in only 15%. 2) When juvenile story in textbook is contrasted with prize-winning ones in a new year, its subject is not various, its background is relate6 to the nature one in major cases, and its hero is subjected to man. Only 50% of it structured as beginning, development, climax, and closing, and it is majored in the third person's viewpoint. According to the above analysis result, following recommendations would be suggested for the more desirable literature education : 1) the proportion of juvenile story in textbook should be increased because of its great value for the proper human being formation. And the juvenile stories in current textbook, which are not meet to the object of school year and tend to biased ones, should be replaced to ones selected which have various subject, and point of view and meet to the object of school year. 2) The numbers of story are limitted in current textbook because of its volumn limitation. So, to make as future-oriented juvenile education, we develop the auxiliary textbook which consist of selected good works like a prize-winning juvenile in the literature contest in a new year, and stock classroom library with it and make children read it often.
