전조작기 유아를 위한 동화 일러스트레이션 연구

Abstract

현 사회는 고도의 정보화 사회로 유아의 자녀를 둔 부모들의 높은 교육열과 조기교육의 열풍으로 인하여 유아 대상의 출판계는 양적, 비약적으로 발전하고 있으나 국내의 유아 그림책 시장은 학습지나 외국의 유명 그림책에 밀려 설자리를 점차 잃어가고 있다. 이는 학습지와 교육용 전집을 선호하는 부모들의 경향에 의해서 일수도 있지만 출판사들의 외국 유명 작가들의 무분별한 번역 출간과 과다 경쟁, 학습 효과가 즉시 나타나는 학습지 형식의 그림책을 선호하는 부모들과 유아의 인지 능력과 행동 발달 상황을 고려하지 않는 천편일률적인 비슷한 화풍의 그림책들에서도 이유를 찾을 수 있다. 이러한 현상은 국내 출판 시장을 당장은 활성화를 시킬 수는 있으나 장기적으로 볼 때 국내 유아 그림책 시장의 입지를 더욱 좁게 만드는 결과를 초래한다. 국외의 경우 체계적이고 다양한 기법의 그림책들이 시리즈로 계속 발간되고 있으나 국내의 유아 그림책 시리즈물은 학습지를 제외하고는 거의 전무한 상태이다. 이에 유아용 그림책의 제작에 앞서 국외의 성공한 그림책들의 현황을 분석하고 국내의 유아용 그림책과 국외의 유아용 그림책에 있어서 내용, 표현방식, 색상 등을 비교 분석하였다. 비록 국내 작품은 아니지만 아낌없이 주는 나무 를 전조작기에 해당하는 2-7세의 유아 발달 단계에 적합한 유아의 인지 특성, 시각특성을 고려하여 세부 사항까지 인지하지 못하는 유아들의 인지 특성에 맞추어 형태를 단순화 시켰고, 선명한 색상을 쉽게 인지하는 유아의 시각특성에 맞게 따뜻하고 부드러운 색상 위에 원색의 색상을 사용하였다. 생략된 사물과 동물들의 표현을 통하여 유아들의 호기심과 창의력을 증진시키고자 하였으며 생동감 있고 의인화된 나무, 달, 동물 캐릭터들로 하여금 유아들이 동료의식과 친근감, 재미를 주어 정서 발달과 창의성을 발달시킬 수 있는 교육적이고 교훈적인 내용으로 제작 하고자 하였다. 본 그림책은 초등학생 이상의 청소년, 성인 대상의 그림책으로 백색 바탕 위에 검은색 라인으로만 그려진 그림책을 유아 대상의 그림책으로 제작하였으며 유아의 눈 높이에 맞추기 위하여 캐릭터들을 더욱 생동감 있게 표현하여 유아들의 호기심을 유발하고자 하였고 흑백의 색상을 따뜻하고 부드러운 색상 위에 선명한 색상을 사용하여 유아들의 시선을 집중시키고자 하였다. 또한 유아들이 선호하는 동물 캐릭터들을 추가하여 유아들이 호기심과 친근감, 동료 의식, 환상의 세계를 그림책 속에서 경험 할 수 있게 이야기를 구성하였으며 표현방식에 있어 국내에 나와 있는 일률적인 방식에서 벗어나고자 하였고, 유아들의 흥미를 함양하고 교훈적인 내용의 그림책을 제작하고자 하였다. ; In these modern days a human society is that of a high level of information. Accordingly, the publishing world for infant in Korea have made great strides in developed in quantitative aspect since the parents who have the infant children have created a educational boom due to their high interested in that, however Korean market of illustrated book for infants is on the decline owing to a study book or foreign famous illustrated book. This phase could be found that the reason is because parents prefer the illustrated books which have an effect on an education of child immediately to a pure picture book as well as they who have a liking for such educational series-books as studying paper for education are trending toward such a rude business that publishers have had the imprudence to publish a lot of translations. This phase causes our domestic market of children s illustrated books to be too narrower as publishing market in a long period view even though that is enough to meet the immediate. A foreign publishers of illustrated book continues to publish with a serial picture book as well as commercialization of the characters of illustrated books and picture books. But there is no serial illustrated book for infant except a studying paper in our domestic market. The thesis has analyzed the picture situation centering around characters which succeeded in foreign market prior to manufacture of the illustrated books for infant and compared and analyzed its content, expression, and colours and so forth, of the illustrated books for infant in our domestic market. Although the work, which is "The Giving Tree" is not a home work, it was recomposed to meet the feature of infant recognition in a preoperational period. The works were simplified a form to meet the feature of infant recognition in order that infants who was impossible to cognize in detail could recognize them. Also it used a primary colour to meet a feature of their eye in order to recognize the bright colour on warm and soft colours. The works tried to develope an interest and an originality of infants through an omitted expression of things and animals and the animated characters of personified trees, the moon, animals enables them to develop an originality and emotions of infants because they were interested in them with sense of kindness ans friendship also I made my effort to make the works which have a content of instructions This picture books was made for the tastes of juveniles, adults above elementary students, while the picture book for infant was made a drawing of a black line on white paper. The characters were made to have an animated expression and tried to be interested in them to meet an infant eye levels. Accordingly, The works tried to look at them by every child by using a white and a black on a bright colour of softness and warmness. Also, the works composed of story to experience kindness, friendship, and fantastic world to add the animal characters to their liking and my expression tried to avoid a stereotyped method in domestic market and made a picture book which enable infants to develop their interest and instruction. Also, the thesis is to find out the plan of practical use of characters in order to be animated of our picture books.
