고전문학에서의 수행평가 모형 연구 : 고등학교 국어(상)을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 학생들의 고전문학에 대한 이해와 감상 능력을 신장시키고 고전문학에 대한 흥미와 관심을 가질 수 있게 하며 실제 현장에서 활용 가능한 고전문학에서의 수행평가 방안을 제시하고 이를 실천·분석하는 것에 목적을 둔다. I 장에서는 연구의 목적 및 연구방법을 제시하였다. II장에서는 수행평가의 일반적 개념을 제시하고 고전문학에서 수행평가의 필요성에 대하여 논의하였다. 고전문학에서 수행평가는 고전문학 작품이 지니는 현재적 가치를 알고 그 속에서 찾을 수 있는 선인들의 정서와 미적 감수성을 체험하기 위해서 필요하며 고전문학 작품을 감상하는 능력 및 고전문학에 대한 흥미와 관심을 갖고 애정을 길러주기 위하여 필요하다. III장에서는 고전문학에서의 수행평가 모형을 제시하였다. 실제 모형을 제시하기 전에 수행 평가를 위한 교수-학습 방안에 대한 탐색을 하였는데 교수-학습의 기본 방향은 당대의 삶의 정서를 이해하고 오늘날의 관점에서 재해석할 수 있도록 지도하는 것이다. 이러한 교수-학습 방안을 바탕으로 실제 작품에 대한 수행평가 모형을 연구하였다. 「차마설」은 중심생각과 중심내용을 만화로 표현하기,「청산별곡」은 모방시 쓰기, 「관동별곡」은 감상문 쓰기, 「안민가」는 화답편지 쓰기, 「허생전」은 학습신문 만들기를 하였다. IV장에서는 수행평가 과제가 학생들의 고전문학 작품에 대한 이해를 돕고 흥미와 관심을 갖게 하는데 어떤 영향을 미쳤는가를 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 학생들에게 소감문 형식의 설문지를 작성하게 하여 그 결과를 분석하고 수행평가 과제의 문제점 및 개선방안을 제시하였다. 이를 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 수행평가 과제가 학생들이 고전문학 작품을 감상하고 이해하는데 도움을 주었다. 학생들은 각각의 평가 과제가 작품을 재미있고 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 하였다고 응답하여 수행평가 과제가 고전문학 작품을 이해하는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째,수행평가 과제가 학생들의 고전문학 작품에 대한 흥미를 유발하고 관심을 갖도록 하였다. 학생들은 평가과제가 재미있게 고전문학 작품에 접근할 수 있는 방법이라는 반응을 많이 보이고 있다. 이것은 학생들 스스로 고전문학 작품의 의미를 깨닫도록 하는데 수행평가 과제가 도움을 주었음을 의미한다. 이렇듯 본 연구에서 제시한 수행평가 모형이 고전문학 작품을 이해하고 감상하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 끼쳤음에도 불구하고 몇 가지 문제점을 갖는데 그것은 고전문학 작품의 본질에서 벗어날 수 있다는 점과 작품에 대한 진지한 접근이 어렵다는 점이다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 고전문학 수행평가 대한 더 많은 연구가 행해져야 한다. 고전문학에 대한 수행평가 모형의 연구는 궁극적으로 학생들의 고전문학 작품에 대한 이해·감상하는 능력을 신장시키고 고전문학 작품에 대한 애정을 갖게 하여 고전문학 작품을 즐겨 읽는 태도를 기르게 하는 방향으로 나아가야 할 것이다. ; This thesis presents a new instruction model which elevates student s appreciative ability, makes students more interested and motivated to learn classical literature, and gives a desirable model for performance evaluation available in real classroom situations. Chapter I shows the purpose and method for this thesis. Chapter II presents the general idea of performance evaluation and the necessity for performance evaluation in teaching classical literature. The study comes to the conclusion that the performance evaluation is highly helpful for students to recognize the value of the classical literature which still exists in contemporary times and to sympathize with their predecessors. In chapter III a specially designed performance evaluation model is presented. The model is designed to achieve specific objects; to encourage students to understand the lives of the past and reappreciate the classical literature with a current perspective. Among the classica literature in the textbook, Chamasol, Chungsanbulgok, Guandongbulgok, Anminga and Hursaengjun were selected and cartoons expressing the main idea, writing imitiative poems, writing a record of impressions, writing letters and making newsletters are deigned as special performance evaluation tasks for each piece of classical literature respectively. In chapter IV, the kind of influence the rasks have in helping students to understand the literature and raising the student s interests and motivations is examined. To do this, special questionaires which ask question about the tasks is presented to students and analyzed. The results are as follows; 1. The performance evaluation tasks are helpful for students to understand and appreciate classical literature. Many students responded that the tasks enabled them to understand the literature more easily and make the class interesting. 2. The performance evaluation tasks have a positive influence that makes students more interested and motivated in learning classical literature. Many students responded that they could approach classical literature which might have been boring in more easy and funny way, and it is also found that through this, students could fully appreciate the literatures for themselves. Despite the performance evaluation tasks have many positive effects, there are still some controversial points; that is, they can go astray from the main subject and fail to appreciate the essence of the classical literature. To solve these problems, further study should be made about the performance evaluation tasks.
