인체형상을 통한 현대인의 내면세계 표현 연구 : 작품제작 중심으로

Abstract

우리 인간들은 편의와 행복을 위하여 도구를 발전시키고 자연을 정복하여 현대 사회와 같은 눈부신 기계 문명을 탄생시켰다. 하지만, 물질의 풍요 속에서 정신적 빈곤함과 공허감을 느끼게 되었고, 한치의 여유도 없이 쫓기는 삶 속에서 마음의 안정을 잃고 방황하게 되었다. 현대인간이 겪고 있는 소외나 불안, 상실과 허무의 모습이 그리 낯설지 않은 것은 바로 이 시대를 살고 있는 우리, 나 자신의 자화상이기 때문이다. 진정한 가치가 현실의 부조리한 상황 보다 우선 한다고 믿었고 세상을 근원적인 옳고 그름으로만 판단하려 했던 논자는, 물질적 가치를 우선시하고 양보와 이해가 사라져 가는 인간관계의 모습이 매우 혼란스러웠다. 그러나 이런 현실 속에서 부딪히게 되는 내면의 갈등과 자아상실의 문제는 나 하나의 개인이 아닌 우리 모두에게 해당되는 상황임을 깨달았고, 작품을 통해 현대사회 속에서 위협받고 있는 우리 인간의 내면세계를 표현해 보고싶은 욕구를 갖게 되었다. 본 연구는 현대 사회 속에서 겪게 되는 인간의 내면 문제들을 인체의 형상을 통해 표현하는 데에 목적을 둔다. 이론적 배경으로는 현대 사회의 특징과 그 속에서 살아가는 인간의 모습, 소외, 불안, 갈등의 내면 문제들을 살펴보았다. 잃어버린 자아를 되찾고 삶에 적극적인 자세를 가지려는 바램으로 주체적 인간을 이상을 제시하는 실존주의 사상에 대하여 설명하였다. 작품의 주제로 택한 인체가 어떤 변모 과정을 통하여 예술 작품 속에 표현되어 왔는지 역사적 과정을 알아보고, 인간의 내면세계를 주제로 한 표현주의와 인체를 형상화한 국내외 작가들의 섬유작품을 비교 분석하였다. 작품 제작에 있어서는 인간의 양면적 모습을 흑과 백을 나누어 평직기법으로 재직한 후 , 현대 문명을 상징하는 물건과 주관적 의지에 따라 변형 또는 단순화된 인체의 형상을 실크스크린 프린팅 기법을 이용하여 재직해 놓은 배경 화면 위에 중첩시켰다. 강조하고자 하는 내용을 문구로 프린트했고 미흡한 부분은 안료수지염료를 이용한 직접 염색과 기계 자수, 복사, 스티치 등을 이용하여 마무리하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 끊임없는 관심의 대상인 인체를 통해 현대인간의 내적 갈등 상태를 표현하고, 더 나아가 주체적이고 실존적인 사고를 통해 삶의 부조리한 여러 상황들을 현명하게 대처해 나갈 수 있는 인간의 모습을 되찾고자 하는데 그 의미가 있다. ; Human beings have developed tools and given birth to splendid mechanic civilization for their convenience and happiness. However, we became to feel mental poverty and emptiness in materialistic richness, and to lose our way without space in life. The reason why alienation, insecurity and loss that modern people suffer is not strange to us is that it is me and my life it self. Having tried to judge the world basic right or wrong, I got confused by the complex feature of human relationship that has no yielding or understanding, giving priority to materialistic value. The problem of losing self-identity in this reality is the situation everyone of us experiences, and I got to have the desire of expressing the inner world of human beings under threat of the structure of modern society. Hereby, this study has a purpose to express the inner problem of human beings happening in modern society through the human body. As a theoretical background, this study examines human relationship, alienation, anxiety and conflict. Hoping to recover lost self and to have more positive attitude toward life, I explain existentialism that suggests subjective human as ideal. As the theme of work, this study looks at the historical process of changing human body, and analyzes expressionism under the theme of the inner world of human beings and fiber works made by domestic and foreign artists. For creating work. I first made the double standard character of human beings by dividing into black and white, and overlapped the simplified human feature and the object that symbolizes human civilization on the silk screened image. I wrote words for emphasis, and finished by dyeing, copying and stitching for incomplete parts. In conclusion, this study expresses the inner conflicts of human body through the human body, and it has meaning in recovering the human features that can wisely cope with various absurd situations through subjective and existential thinking.
