물의 이미지를 응용한 의상디자인 연구 : 고주파 기법을 중심으로

Abstract

인간은 21세기에 들어오면서, 다양한 산업문명의 발전과 함께 물질적, 문화적 풍요함을 누리고 있다. 그러나 산업문명의 발달에 의한 공기의 오염, 물의 혼탁, 녹지의 황폐와 인간의 무분별한 생태계의 훼손 등으로 자연의 평형이 상실됨으로 인해 인간과 모든 생물의 생존까지 위협을 받고 있다. 또한 현재 인류가 안고있는 환경문제는 대기오염, 수질오염과 같은 문제에서 지구 온난화와 같은 국경을 초월할 뿐만 아니라 다음세대까지 영향을 미치는 광범위한 문제로 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 세계곳곳에서는 자연보호문제가 결코 특정한 단체나 봉사자들, 몇몇 국가의 노력으로 해결될 수 없다는 걸 인식하고, 자연의 질서와 조화를 회복하는데 정성을 다하고 있다. 이러한 움직임은 새로운 현대인의 의식의 표현물로 자연주의라는 문화현상으로 나타나고 있으며. 문화적 경향을 반영하는 의상에서도 가치관의 인식과 더불어 자연의 회귀를 갈망하는 조형예술로서의 다양한 변모를 보여주고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 생태적 관점에서 모든 자연의 중요성을 환기시키는 동시에 조화를 추구하는 의미에서 물의 이미지를 주제로 선택하였다. 물은 자연의 원초적 요소이자 생명의 원천이다. 물은 태초부터 존재해온 근원적 ,정신적 물질로서 물의 이미지는 오랫동안 인간의 철학적 종교적 배경이 되어왔고 예술의 소재로도 끓임 없이 연구, 표현되어 오고 있다. 물의 이미지는 아주 다양한 특성을 띠고 있으며, 그 각각의 이미지들은 오랜 시간 동안 인간에게 예술표현대상으로 위치하게 된 근거를 제공해 주었다. 물은 모든 생물에게 가장 중요한 물질이자 생명의 근원이다. 본 연구의 목적은 물의 이미지를 작품의 모티브로 하여 물이 가지는 물질적, 철학적 특성을 이해하고 물의 다양한 이미지들을 새로운 독특한 소재와 기법으로 재창출함으로써 , 미래지향적인 소재 속에서의 자연의 이미지라는 새로운 시각적 표현 영역을 확대하는 데 있다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로는 물의 이미지에 대한 타당성 있는 자료의 제시를 위해서 과학적 측면에 따른 물의 본질을 살펴보고, 그에 대한 상징적 의미를 다양한 문헌들을 통해 이해함으로써 물의 속성과 의미를 개념정리 하였다. 물의 특성과 이미지를 모티브로 한 작품과 디자인사례를 각종 문헌과 관련자료를 통하여 연구하였다. 또한 현대 복식에서 표현되어진 물의 이미지를 연구, 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 물의 이미지 표현을 위해 폴리오레탄의 소재를 사용하였으며 고주파 기법을 통해 작품 8점을 제작하였다. 이러한 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연의 원초적 요소인 물의 연구를 통해 물은 여러 가지 속성을 지니고 있으며, 그 이미지는 물질적 특성에 따른 해석을 통해 더 구체적으로 형상화 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 폴리우레탄 의복의 소재로 불가능한 액체를 실질적으로 도입할 수 있었고, 폴리우레탄의 투명성과 광택, 색채는 물의 보편적 이미지를 상징적으로 표현하기에 적합하였다. 셋째, 고주파 유전가열 소재처리 방법은 다양한 다른 소재들과 폴리우레탄의 접목을 가능하게 하였고, 물의 다양한 이미지를 표현하는데 적합하였다. 다섯째, 환경에 따라 각양각색으로 변하는 물의 이미지는 스팽글, 비즈, 우븐소재, 액상 실리콘, 공기 등으로 적절하게 표현 할 수 있었다. 여섯째, 빛에 반사되어 반짝이는 잔잔한 물의 표면은 기하학적 모양의 반복적 구성에 의해 표현 할 수 있었다. 이러한 소재에 따른 새로운 처리 방법은 작품의 질적 향상과 아이디어의 새로운 시도를 모색하게 해주었고, 현대적 감각을 찾을 수 있는 다양한 가능성을 제시하여 주었다.; In 21century, people have enjoyed diverse culture and enough materials driven by advanced technology. ever, human being have problem because of air and water pollution and risk of ecosystem. Even there are many trials to rescue from various pollution and conserve our natural resource, still it is not enough. By the way, this protection of nature environment became one of the most important activation of 21century. In the Art, more and more artists are revolutionary presenting and showing the importance of nature and "recurrence to the nature" through their art works. Water is one of prime elements of nature. It has been represented as basic spirit of human life and the philosophy of fine artists. I have chosen "water image" as main theme of my research because of the importance of nature and harmony between human life and nature. I have researched fashion design about the water image based on two main theme, physical characteristic and philosophy of water. For this purpose, I have studied transparent fabric materials and developed my own process to make visual elements. Also, these researches were conceptually understood by literature survey, audio-visual data, pictures, and Internet. In addition, the modern works related with water are collected, arranged and analyzed. Eight fashion design and final works are produced based on the above theoretical survey. For presenting transparency of water, I have used plastic vinyl and relative materials and sewed with high-frequency heating technology. Through high-frequency heating, I could enhanced harmonized effects. Also, with interconnecting plastic vinyl with several other materials such as diverse fabric, bijou, air, and silicone, I could present modern fashion arts. The conclusion is as follows. First, Natural can be regarded as the material as one of the expression of human being. Also, the fact that creative and high aesthetic works can be produced by reinterpretation to water image, physical characteristic and philosophy of water for fashion art works. Second, through using various transparent plastic vinyl and high-frequency heating, I could express water s physical characteristic. Third, with interconnecting plastic vinyl with several other materials such as diverse fabric, bijou, air, and silicone I could overcome weakness of using plastic vinyl and enhance esthetic feeling of art works.
