멀티미디어 컨텐츠 제작사례를 통한 디지털 영상(C G)구현에 관한 연구 : 커뮤니티 포탈 사이트를 중심으로

Abstract

멀티미디어는 문자, 그림, 소리, 비디오와 같은 미디어를 두 가지 이상 사용하고 이를 디지털화하여 일정 수준의 대화기능을 제공하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 멀티미디어의 발전은 정보화 시대에 더불어 빠른 속도로 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 분야에 큰 영향을 끼치고 있다. 컴퓨터 그래픽 기술은 더욱 효과적인 정보를 전달 할 수 있는 영상 표현(C.G)이 가능해졌다. 카메라로는 촬영이 불가능한 여러 가지 현상이나 물질의 운동, 주관적인 이미지, 같은 것을 컴퓨터의 소프트웨어를 이용하여 디지탈 영상(C.G)을 표현 할 수 있다. 디지털 영상(C.G)은 우리가 머리 속에서 상상하는 형상을 볼 수 있는 영상으로 표현되고 또한 정보전달에 있어서도 언어로 된 문서가 아닌 영상으로, 즉 영상언어로 표현하는 추세이다. 이에 인터넷 커뮤니티의 변화도 텍스트가 아닌 그래픽 위주로 가상사회를 만들어 가고 있다. 이러한 가상환경의 디지털 영상표현(C.G) 방법에 대한 연구를 커뮤니티 포탈 사이트 제작 사례를 통하여 제시하였다. 본 사례 제작은 인터넷을 통하여 다수의 사용자가 가상공간에 접속하여 참여자간의 정보 교환을 포함한 상호작용뿐만 아니라 가상공간내의 3차원 오브젝트에 대한 조작을 통하여 실세계와 같이 가상공간에서도 모든 현상을 공유하고 정보를 파악하는 포탈 엔터테인먼트이다. 이러한 가상공간을 꾸미는 영상은 정보를 전달한다는 차원에서 보자면 문자, 이미지에 비해 형태와 색채가 훨씬 다양하고 언어가 통하지 않아도 의미 전달이 가능하기 때문에 매우 효과적이라 할 수 있고 앞으로의 발전 방향이라 본다. 그러므로 그 표현에 있어서 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 특수효과, 모델링 기법과 언터페이스에 관한 C.G 구현 기법을 제시한다. 멀티미디어와 컴퓨터 그래픽에 관련한 새로운 기술은 완성된 것이 아니라 지속적으로 개발되고 있고, 새로운 응용분야가 등장하고 있다 컨텐츠 커뮤니티 포탈 분야는, 빠르게 변하기 때문에 본 사례들 외에 다른 사이트들을 현실에서 볼 수 있을 가능성이 있음을 전제로 한다. ; Multimedia can be defined as the combined use of media such as text, image, sound, and video, as on a computer system. It provides a dialogue function of certain level by digitalizing those combined media. The development of multimedia is rapidly exerting a great influence on the multimedia contents area in this information society. Computer graphic technology has realized the image expression which can transmit information in more effective way. By using computer softwares, you can express various phenomena that cannot be photographed by camera as well as movement of materials, subjective image, and the likes in the form of digital image. Digital image is in the center of the current trend that an imaginary shape is expressed in a visible image and information transmission is also expressed not by language but by an image, so called, the image language. Also, the change of internet community has created an imaginary society which is graphic-oriented not a text-oriented. This study suggests the methods of digital expression in an imaginary environment through the cases of community portal site production. Community portal site provides a portal entertainment, in which a multitude of users who connect to the imaginary space through internet, performs interactions such as information exchange. The users even share all the phenomena and information just as they do in a real world by operating a three-dimensional object in the imaginary space. As a digital image composing the imaginary space has far more various shapes and colors compared to text image and makes communication possible without even sharing a common language, it can be regarded as an extremely effective method for transmitting information, suggesting the direction for the future development. Accordingly, it presents special effects and modeling techniques using computer graphic, and C.G embodiment techniques pertaining to interface. The development of new technologies related to the multimedia and computer graphic is not completed yet but in the process of continuous R&D amid the advent of new applied areas. As contents community portal industry is rapidly changing, other sites other than these cases suggested hereof can be materialized in reality.
