그림책비디오 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 번역된 그림책비디오를 포함하여 현재 우리 나라에 나와 있는 그림책비디오의 실태를 조사하고 발달적 적절성을 살피며, 그림책비디오의 구조적 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 궁극적으로 이 연구는 그림책비디오의 교육적 활용 의의를 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따른 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. I. 번역된 그림책비디오를 포함하여 시중에 있는 그림책비디오 실태와 적 절성은 어떠한가? I- 1. 시중에 있는 그림책비디오와 원본 그림책은 무엇인가? I- 2. 그림책비디오가 유아들에게 적합한가? II. 그림책비디오의 구조적 특성은 어떠한가? 번역된 그림책비디오는 출판 목록을 우선 근거로 16개를 추출하였으며, 본 연구의 대상은 2001년 2월 28일까지 우리 나라에 번역된 그림책비디오로서 서울과 경기도 지역의 어린이 서점 26곳을 대상으로 수집하였다. 그 결과 총 15개의 그림책비디오를 대상으로 하였다. 그림책비디오의 발달적 적절성을 알아보기 위한 분석도구는 Truxal(1994)이 제시한 3-6세를 대상으로 한 영화/비디오/TV 프로그램에 대한 적절성 평가준거를 번안하여 사용하였다. 그림책비디오의 구조적 특성을 알아보기 위한 분석 도구는 조윤숙(1998)의 인쇄만화의 만화영화화에 따른 변화와 김세희(2000)의 그림책비디오 평가준거를 기초로 연구자가 구성한 것이다. 연구문제 1, 2 모두 수집된 자료는 5점 평점으로 합산하여 총점으로 산출하였다. 연구 문제 1에서는 총점을 다시 적절성 등급으로 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시중에 나와 있는 유아를 위한 그림책비디오는 모두 15개 였다. 그중에서 14개는 외국의 그림책비디오 제작물을 수입하여 번역한 것이었고 나머지 1개만이 우리나라에서 제작한 것이었다. 적절성의 등급에 있어서 <산타 할아버지의 휴가>와 <빨강도깨비 파랑도깨비 노랑도깨비>만 적절의 등급(★★★)으로 분석되었으며, 나머지는 13개의 그림책비디오는 적극 추천의 등급(★★★★★)으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 번역된 그림책비디오를 포함하여 우리 나라에 있는 그림책비디오의 구조적 특성을 알아보기 위하여, 원작 그림책과의 관계, 움직임, 음향효과, 대사, 음악, 전체적인 조화의 하위 6개 범주로 나누어 분석하였으며, 전체 총점은 115점이다. 분석 결과에 따르면 그림책비디오의 구조적 특성에 있어서 가장 높은 총점은 <스노우 맨>이 113점을 받았으며, 가장 낮은 총점은 <빨강도깨비 파랑도깨비 노랑도깨비>가 72점을 받았다. <레오리오니의 동물우화 5편>, <산타 할아버지의 휴가>, <빨강도깨비 파랑도깨비 노랑도깨비> 3개의 그림책비디오를 제외한 나머지 10개의 그림책비디오의 총점은 100점 이상이었다.; This study is initiated to provide the propriety of animated illustration firms for infant education through comparative analysis into the homogeneity and heterogeneity between illustrated books and films animated. The comparison extended its scope to them introduced from abroad and to secondary reviews on existing studies about the relationship between infant education and illustrations. This study, for the purpose described above, is proceeded with two research subjects as follows; I. The current situation of animated illustration films distributed over domestic market I- 1. The contents of the illustrated books and films I- 2. The propriety of the films to infant education II. The structural characteristics of animated illustration films in comparison with illustrated books. The animated illustration films are selected in the publication lists as the research sample and collected from 26 book stores located in Seoul and Kyonggi Province till 28 February 2001. Eventually, 16 pieces of animated illustration films are collected for this study. These 15 films are analyzed by adopting <Standard for Propriety Assesment of Move/Video/TV Programme for the Ages of 3 to 6> designed by Truxal(1994). The propriety of the films to infants are estimated to be embodied into numeral codes. The films, based on the embodied codes, divided into a few categories according to their propriety to infants. Yunsuk Cho s <Changes Caused by Animated Cartoon, 1998> and Dr, Saehee Kim s <standard for the picture-book-based video Assessment, 2000> are referred to design an analysis standard for structural characteristics of animated illustration films. Each of the materials collected is evaluated to be given points from 1 to 5 according to each of the standards. The total point of a material is obtained by s um of each points rated by different standards. The total points of each materials are provided as a degree of the property in the first research subject of this study. The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows; In the first, the total of 15 animated illustration films are available in the national market. 14 pieces of films, among them, are from abroad and translated into Korean, and 1 piece of films, the rest of them, is produced in Korea. According to the propriety assesment, only 2 firms are given the 3 star-degree which means that the firms are proper for infants to watch and 13 pieces films received 5 star-degree which means that the films are aggressively recommended to watch. In the research for structural characteristics of animated illustration firms, secondly, 6 factors such as relationship to the original picture book, action, sound effects, dialogues, musics and entire harmony are selected and given numerical points upto total 115 points. As a result <The Snowman> is ranked on the best with 113 points and <Red fiend Blue fiend Yellow fiend> gets worst marks of 72 among the firms. The analysis shows that most of the films obtains high points more than 100 points in total, except for <Leo Lionni s 5 animal fables>, <Santa Claus s vacation> and <Red fiend Blue fiend Yellow fiend>. The structures of animated illustration films are normally framed based upon the qualified literatures. They are sufficient in considering the structures of the original books in keeping the authors intentions maintained. In some films, the structure is divided into a few stories in detail and sometimes is extended in terms of the scope. Musics are used to make character s actions realistic and to ma ke stories realistic following intention of the original books.
