내적 심상에 의한 꽃의 추상적 표현 연구

Abstract

자연은 인간에게 무한한 의미를 지니고 있으며, 끝없는 관심의 대상이었고 예술적 표현 대상이 되어 왔다. 자연에 대한 관심은 예술의 아름다움을 낳게 하는 모태가 된다. 예술창작의 목적은 자연의 모방 그 자체에 있는 것이 아니라, 예술가의 내적 심상을 통해 자연의 이미지를 새롭게 변형· 창조하는데 있다. 자연의 수많은 표현 대상 중 아름다움과 화려함으로 상징되는 것은 꽃일 것이다. 꽃은 그 자체가 아름다움과 생명력을 갖고 있으며, 바라보는 이의 아름다운 감정을 일으키게 한다. 따라서 본 연구자는 꽃을 소재로 택하여 꽃의 화려함, 아름다움, 생명력을 시각적으로 환상적인 이미지를 통해 나타내고자 하였으며, 무한하고 창조적인 형상을 추구하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 표현 방식에 있어서 꽃의 사실적 형태를 변형하여 독자적인 색채를 추구하고자 하였으며, 그러한 꽃의 이미지를 통하여 상상 속의 무의식 세계를 표현해 보고자 하였다. 또한, 구체적인 느낌을 필요로 하는 것들의 시각적인 전달을 위한 구상적 요소들과 생명현상의 내밀한 변화와 연구자의 내적 심상을 전달하기 위한 추상적 요소들을 조화와 대립을 통하여 결합하였다. 본인 작품의 객관화를 위해 로버트 메이플도프(Robert Mapplethorpe, 1946∼1989)와 이모겐 커닝험(Imogen Cunningham, 1883∼1976)을 통하여 연구자의 표현 방식과 그들 작품과의 연관성과 차이를 연구해 보았다. 본 논문은 내적 심상에 의한 꽃의 추상화를 통하여 자연 질서 속의 미지의 것, 재현 불가능한 세계를 표현하고자 했다는데 의의가 있다. ; Nature has limitless meaning for humans and has been endless target of interest and expression for mankind. Interest in nature becomes the uterus that gives birth to the beauty of art. For artists nature is there not just for imitation and their objective is to create what nature cannot do. Among so many targets of the expression of nature what is symbolized by beauty and splendor may be flowers. Flowers themselves have beauty and life and raise beautiful feelings in the mind of those who look at them. Therefore, in this study I selected flowers as its subject and attempted to show visually fantastic images with the purpose of pursuing their limitless and creative shapes. In the method of expression, I attempted to seek after original colors through realistic transformation of flowers and express an image in fancy through the unconscious world of humans. In addition, I combined through harmony and coordination concrete elements for visual conveying of what requires tangible feelings and abstract elements for conveying the secret changes and psychological factors life phenomena difficult for us to realize. In order to render my work objective I studied, through Robert Mapplethorpe(1946∼1989) and Imogen Cunningham(1883∼1796), the difference of relevance between my method of expression and their works. Through this study I have come to think that I have to begin my work based on the endless movement of nature and humans and the constant and mystic force of life.
